NOTE.

endings have never been my strong suit, I never know when or even how to end a story. so much so that I actually needed to create a part two for this story. however, this revelation gave me a good idea, I have two projects due before the end of today. I, ofcourse didn't want to half ass either of them.

so I decided to use part one for own challenge, and part two for the other. don't worry, I still followed the rules of the challenge. part one focuses on the challenge EWG gave me, while part two focuses on the challenge the scripturients guild gave me.

                    Life is a one way street, fixing the past is impossible, but you can’t run from your past either. Your actions have an impact on the lives of others, no matter how small or big the action was. Whether we want to it it or not, there has been a moment in everyone's lives where we’ve wished we could turn back time, whether it be something as simple as ensuring that you’re able to avoid an embarrassing moment, or something as complicated as fixing a friendship broken beyond repair.

                    Sage knows better than anyone that gripping over the past won’t change things, if you constantly think about what could have been, it’ll drive you insane. Still, Sage would be lying if he claimed that thinking about how different things would be different doesn’t relax him a little bit. Its fucked up, hes ruining his mental state in exchange for a moment of relaxation. Relaxation that might not come at all, it wasn’t guaranteed that thinking about a future he could have had would relax him that day.

                    It was 50/50, some days it would work but other days… that was a different story. Those were the days he ed that his life was this way BECAUSE of him. If it wasn’t for his selfish actions, things wouldn’t be like this. If it wasn’t for.. Calm down sage… just calm down. Those memories were starting to flood back, memories he promised himself he would push to the back of his mind, memories he promised himself that he’d have buried by now.

                    ‘ what your therapist told you to do during times like this… ‘ Sage thought to himself as he tried to recall the words of his therapist. Other than taking deep breathes there was something she had told sage to do, something he couldn’t quite place his finger on. He rubbed his head in annoyance as he tried to what he was told, with an annoying sigh he ruffled his hair as he started mindlessly messing with something around his neck.

                    Something around his neck… the.. necklace? THE NECKLACE! A smile softly formed on his face as he tilted his head down, put both of his hands around his neck and removed the item around his neck. Just like that, all of Sages worries started to dissipate, he held the item close to his chest as he closed his eyes. Maybe his therapist wasn’t as useless as he had originally thought.

ENDING THOUGHTS.

, music is all about the way you perceive it. even if your way is 'wrong', it'd what makes music so special. the way you see the song might not be the way another sees it. still, it doesn't mean your way is wrong. it just means the two of you see it differently. for instance, take the song I chose for this piece. I believe the song is referring to a bad break up, or a divorce. perhaps even cheating's involved? maybe the song even focuses on money problems.

this is only if you go according to the music video accompanied by the song. however, take only the lyrics into . this song could be about anything. death, loss of a friend, breakup, there are many ways for you to perceive this song. I decided to only focus on the lyrics and write about the loss of a friend and coming to with the fact that it was partially your fault and that it's impossible to turn back time. no matter how much you want to.
