Roleplays.

What is a roleplay, you might ask?

From this day forward, we will be placing rules on roleplaying so none of them break our community guidelines or amino's guidelines as a whole.

Rules & Regulations

Topics that have heavy suicide/depression/disorder references are not allowed.

Mentioning a mental illness or a disorder in general is fine, like saying that Percy Jackson has Dyslexia or that Harry Potter has PTSD. But do not go into detail about self-injury and suicide. It is alright for you mention it and shortly describe their struggles, but to not make it the main plot point of your roleplay.

Topics that discuss Natural Disasters or tragedies themselves are not allowed.

Hurricanes, shootings, earthquakes, even car accidents. Please do not go into detail about them here. Saying a character's parents died from a car accident is very different than describing the accident or disaster in full detail. Be in mind there are some s who are sensitive to those topics. Murder mysteries and those types of roleplays are NOT included in these kinds of topics.

Nothing that describes rape, kidnapping, master & slave or smut.

We understand some s like those kinds of roleplays, but we do not allow these types to be on our community. I believe it can explain why for itself. Sexual mentions are banned from amino as a whole, as well.

How to make a good roleplay.

Trigger Warnings

Trigger Warnings are necessary for s who are sensitive to certain topics. (Blood, swearing, etc.) We want this community to be a safe space and we can't do that if some s are afraid to look in chats that might trigger them. When making chats, I recommend putting Trigger Warnings in a bold lettering so people can see them.

Literacy Levels

If you want the same type of roleplayers in your chat, I suggest putting a literacy level requirement so you can keep your roleplay at a certain level.

Freeform

Freeform is a type of roleplay without too much description. Actions are usually described with a symbol to signify they are doing something.

Example:

-Swings sword- "I did it!"

Semi-Literate

This level is the type for those who don't put too much detail, but enough to form a paragraph. It is not as long as Advanced or Literate.

Example:

Harry peered around the corner, placing his pale hand on the dusty shelf. The library was rather eerie, as if it was left abandoned for decades. The male's shoulders tensed up, eyes widening as he heard a sound coming from behind him. "Who's there?" He called out, trying to keep his voice even.

Literate

Literate is descriptive. It is between semi-literate and advanced, and is a common type of literacy level. It usually ranges from one-three paragraphs.

Example:

Keith's face heated up at that comment, even though Lance had given him compliments before, he was always really flustered when they came about. "I- Oh. Thank you?" He choked out, smiling oddly brightly.

For Keith standards, at least. Anything over his intense blank slate look or frown was bright. He couldn't tell Lance was awkward and new to this sort of stuff. Which was good, because they could learn from each other. And that was always a plus. He too didn't have any experience. Only a few minor crushes here or there. Nothing major.

Advanced

Advanced is used for roleplayers who like to put a lot of detail. It ranges from around three to six paragraphs. I don't recommend using this level unless you really want a descriptive roleplay.

Example:

The April breeze was something Ryoma would never get used to. A slight chill tingled his exposed skin, resulting in a small 'tsk' coming out of his lips tentatively. He lifted his hand to his lips, taking out the hair tie in between his teeth and tied it back his black-green locks into a high ponytail that touched the back of his neck halfway. His golden pupils surveyed the area around him, noticing a worn yet fairly clean plaque bolted to a wall.

"Fancy." Ryoma murmured to himself, gazing ed the sign to see a pristine looking building that rose above the trees that were planted around the school. He adjusted his glasses with his taped left hand as he peered around the sign. It was a beige three story building with clear, large windows that lined around the building. Students lined the exterior and interior of the school, giving life to the atmosphere around him. Regardless of that, Ryoma slipped ed most of the crowd in silence. A normal twelve year old would've looked around excitedly, absolutely ecstatic about their first year in middle school. However, Ryoma just looked on with a reversed but calculating gaze.

After gliding through the crowd outside, he ventured inside the building. Although it had limited amount of people in it at the moment, it was clear that the school was made to hold mass amounts of people. Ryoma climbed up the stairs and around a few corridors as he surveyed around for his assigned class.

Optional

Summary/Plot.

Put what the plot is. Say it is a Highschool AU, then put it in the description. It's a good way to help those understand your roleplay better and that everyone is on the same par when it comes to plot.

Optional

A list of characters taken or not taken.

s need to know whether a character they want is available. If there is no list, it might get confusing for the chat and the .
