If you’re anything like me, you don’t have a ton of money to throw around. You also don’t have any metaphysical shops or botanicas near by. You’re also mildly obsessed with 7 day/ prayer candles.

I’ve come up with my own, affordable solution! It involves your choice of colored 7 day candle, tape & a printer!

I purchase my candles from my local Dollar Tree. For $1 you can’t beat it, & if you mess up your first try like I did, you’re only out $1. Win win!

Next, using your handy dandy smart phone or computer, you can search like “prayer candle labels” & find a label or photo that fits the purpose of your candle. I personally used this photo from luckymojo.com

Print the photo & using a clear, heavy duty tape, such as packing tape, adhere the photo to the candle. This may take a few tries. Don’t be discouraged if the tape doesn’t lay completely flat! Mine didn’t, but it gives it character!

I then dressed my candle with herbs & oil that sealed my intention into my candle & let it charge on my altar.

***just a few tips when working with 7 day candles: trim the wick so it burns more evenly! The wicks on the candles from the Dollar Tree tend to be very long & if not trimmed, they burn unevenly & terribly.

Use a chopstick, skewer, or something long & thin to puncture holes into the candle around the wick. I usually do them in a full circle around the wick. This helps the oil & herbs to sink into the candle & burn evenly without potentially extinguishing the flame.***
