▸ Every once in a while, you are going to get a

▸ bad grade. It just happens. It’s life guys. I am

▸ a straight A student, and even though I

  ▸ usually get all A’s, I know that I’m going to

  ▸ trip up every once in a while... but when a

  ▸ straight A student gets a D on a test (yes a

  ▸ test) in her favorite/ best subject, it gets

  ▸ hard! Yes this happened to me recently. It

  ▸ was bad. I freaked out and thought it was the

  ▸ end of the world. I am here today to tell you:

▸ IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!! Let me

▸ be straight forward with you; yes it will affect

▸ your average in the class, yes it will make

  ▸ you think that you are not good enough; but

  ▸ you are good enough. I am telling you all this

▸ because I care about you. Even though I may

▸ not know you, I care about you. I want you all

  ▸ to do well and think positively. If you let a

  ▸ bad grade affect your attitude and way of

  ▸ life, it will affect your grades even more.

  ▸ A Bad Grade; It’s not the end of the world.

▸ When I found out about my grade, I was

  ▸ shocked and scared. My parents don’t

  ▸ expect to get perfect scores on everything,

▸ but they at least expect me to get A’s and

  ▸ B’s. I didn’t know how they would react to

  ▸ a D in a class that I am accelerating in. If

  ▸ you are feeling the same way, doing this

  ▸ things will help.

  ▸ 1. Deep Breaths

▸ Before telling your parents (or guardians),

  ▸ take some deep breaths. Tell yourself that

  ▸ everything will be ok.

▸ 2. Bring Out The Positive In The Situation

  ▸ When I told my parents about my grade, I

  ▸ also told them the positive thing that went

▸ along with the grade. I told them that since

▸ I had a high average in the class, that it

  ▸ wouldn’t affect me to much. I also told them

▸ that I would get help with the things I was

  ▸ struggling with. They were more

  ▸ understanding when I told them the positive

  ▸ in the situation
