Have you ever wanted to have a responsibility in Studying Amino?

Have you considered curating, but didn't want to deal with the salt from disabling posts?

But most importantly....

Have you ever wanted to welcome new to the community?

If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then you can apply for the Welcoming Committee!

(Except you have to read this stuff)

((And if you don't read it and you ask questions about stuff we've covered, it will reflect badly.)

As a Welcomer, you will be responsible for giving new s a warm welcome and encouraging them to make an introduction post.

You'll need to be able to:

1. Provide a detailed welcome for new s, including links to the community guidelines and the icebreaker challenge, the official challenges, etc. (You will be provided with a template to use, so don't worry!)

2. You will be sent a link to the official SA welcomer amino (my nickname for it) with the rest of the selected welcomers.

3. Be polite and friendly, as no one feels welcomed if you're rude and standoffish. Be sure to also follow the community guidelines and the welcoming committee guidelines (you will be provided with these if you are accepted onto the team).

4. Be active. Do not sign up for the welcoming committee if you are unable to welcome for several days a week.

And follow up...

5. If a situation occurs where you cannot be active for a while, that's okay. We have a special chat for absence notices.

And possibly most importantly...

6. We expect you not to be prejudiced, homophobic, misogynistic, or transphobic. We do have queer and transgender and leaders, and many s from different countries, and we do not wish to have any hateful people on our team.
