My Career Challenge

Hello everyone! I loved the idea of this challenge so here is my entry. Here we go!

♡ What do I want to be? ♡

Within the past year, I made the decision that the area of work I'd like to move into is medical research, more specifically immunology. I've always had a ion for science, with some of my past career ambitions including being a vet, an astronaut, and a doctor. However, I realised my ion was with medical study as a year ago we studied diseases and immunology in school. I was hooked ever since that moment.

☆ How am I working towards this? ☆

Discovering what I want to pursue as a career has really motivated me and has put me on a journey of working hard towards my goals. I am currently studying biomedical science at school and am a member of my school's science honours program in which I have had the oppotunity to talk with a medical researcher for a number of weeks. I am also a member of a university scholars program which will allow me to further my learning and possibly open doors into studying my career in the future.

♧ My plans for the future ♧

For the next two years I will be studying biology and chemistry as I complete high school, one of which is a prerequisite for my career path. When I complete high school, I plan on studying biomedical science in university. This course will run for 3 years. From there I plan to undertake honours studies in biomedical research, heading more into immunology study. Obviously things may change but I'm happy to go where life takes me as long as I'm pursuing a career I'm ionate about.
