My thoughts on minimalistic notes :seedling:

I saw the post about #minimalbestie and had to make a blog about it! I will not participate at the challenge since I am already minimalistic with my notes :turtle:

Nevertheless I wanted to share my notes as well as thoughts about minimalistic notes!

How I got into minimalistic notes

When I first found out about the study community , I fall in love with the aesthetic notes and the handlettering . I desperately tried to imitate the handlettering but failed. Somehow I was not able to make the lettering as pretty as on the pictures, even though I spend a lot of time on it. I was frustrated and dissapointed in myself.

I got into it through not being able to fit in the "studyblr" aesthetic.

What do I think about it

It's definitely more time efficient! I get through a lot of pages in less time. Making manimalistic notes does not mean that you are only writing really small, but compared to other notes I think that it has more information on one sheet of paper.

Also I think manimalistic notes can be in some way aesthetic too! I am honestly not the best photography but I tried to take some photos of some minimalistic notes, which also look pretty!

As you can see I mainly used my blue fountain pen with a green fineliner. On the one picture I drawed a little picture but I kept it simple.

I tend to write as much as I can fit into on sheet of paper! I don't care how my handwriting looks like at these moments. It's about what's written on the paper and not how

Let's not forget that I often cross words and just write them on top of them! Still I would recommend it? Because if you look over your notes again you see what mistake you made and how you solved it

Your notes don't have to look aesthetically as long as their are usefull! Don't be ashamed of them and isolated yourself from the study community, because you feel like you don't fit in.

There are stressfull weeks where you maby don't have the time to make your notes pretty and that's okay! If you have later time you can still copy them so you can put them with your other pretty notes.

Still I think the priority should be to learn while making notes and to learn as much as you can ( but please don't overwork yourself! Listen to your body when you feel signs of it burning out :seedling: )

Lastly I wanted to say that I don't want to attack someone who makes aesthetic notes! Everyone is free to do what they want. I think that there are people out there who can make aesthetic notes in a short amount of time while learning. But on the other hand there a lot of people who pressure themselves into making aesthetic notes and don't have fun while making them. It's like a burden to them and they are constantly torn between just making notes to study efficiently or making them pretty to please others
