hello everyone!

           welcome back to another blog.

for today's blog, i'm going to be

telling you how to start? preparing

for the next school year. if you're

in school still. but i guess, you can

tweak it a little if you need it for

something else. as always, i hope

            you find this somewhat helpful!

this is a very extra long blog!!!!

          tip number one.

my first tip for the new academic year,

if your school counselor has helped

you figure your classes already and

you know what you're taking, you

should peek at your classes' lessons.

whether it be on khan academy or

        a friend's notes, it'll help you know

        what you're learning and whatnot.

it's also a big plus if you're wanting

        to study ahead!

so, my second piece of advice is to

        make a temporary study schedule!

it helps to know a little what it would

look like. but your study schedule is

going to change as the semester goes

and if you have extracurricular activites.

this is not useful until school starts, but

it's still nice to keep in mind.

i know, many students are on a

        budget. because i know i am. i

need to save my money for more

important things like food :) so,

when i need to buy school supplies,

i generally just wait until the school

       year starts. it's definitely more

convenient for my wallet and my

        back.

wait for your classes' syllabi to know

what you need, so you don't have to

       overspend on anything! also, school

orientation is a good time to know the

things you need, as your teachers tend

to have an introductory paper to their

       class and of themselves.

the school's supplies list isn't the most

convenient list as it does sometimes

list things you don't ever actually use,

which causes you to lose some valuable

       money :(

if you want to get some shopping done,

loose leaf paper, folder, binder, and

       writing utensils are commonly the

        necessities for most classes. shop

for some new pens and pencils to try out!

       testing new writing materials will

help you know if your taste in your

utensils have changed or not and also

get yourself back into writing. because,

it does feel weird when you haven't

written in a while and your handwriting

       is a little messy.

my fourth tip only applies if you know

you're going to stay in the same school.

if you are, talking to your

teachers for next year is a definite plus.

my chemistry teacher is also my physics

teacher, so i usually talk to him about

the future physics lessons. sames goes

for my english i teacher, she's also my

english ii teacher. she told us to keep

our binders and some notes that'll help

us for next year's class. she also told

us future essays, projects, and books

to give a peek into english ii.

so, it wouldn't hurt to try and talk to your

future teachers. plus it shows them that

you're going to be prepared and gives

them a good impression of you and

your work ethics. but i understand if

you don't want to, i have no confidence

at all. so you're not alone about not

being able to talk to your

       teachers.

          earlier i mentioned about studying

ahead, i will be making a post about

that. but to make a summary, you can

definitely study ahead, so you're not

         completely clueless on what you're

going to learn in your classes. for

         science and math classes, khan

academy was my best friend! medical

         terminology, quizlet, it helped me

         the vocabulary. english,

         probably reading articles and essays

helped, but my english teacher knows

what's she doing, so i don't need to

         study ahead.

any prep for sat and act, khan academy

has a special program(?) in a sense.

         they definitely help!

next tip is to set your priorites straight.

whether it be sports, grades, yearbook

       committee, personal relationships,

popularity, or whatever it is. when you

know what your priorities are, you can

       set your goals around them.

my priorites were definitely set around

academics. my goals were to make

straight a's and to not stress as much.

i successfully can check off one of those,

but if you can't achieve one of your goals,

you just have try harder next time.

approach your goals differently and see

       what works!

my last big tip is take time to mentally,

        physically, and emotionally prep yourself

for school again. you're going to have

harder classes and getting up early.

i might do a post on this. but i definitely

know in the first week of school, i was

just not ready. i didn't want to get out

of bed and very moody to everyone at

school, it just wasn't me. so, make sure

to take a few weeks in advance to prep,

like sleeping and waking up early, eat

breakfast, just start having a routine

        again!

those are my biggest tips, they're not

the greatest. i hope those helped you!

but here are some of the smaller tips

        that helped me!

             one.

if you have athletics or p.e, start

         training a little earlier. i know you're

not going to want to, but staying

        active will definitely help you!

especially if you're going to tryout

or are in a sport. it'll help you not

be out of too much breath when you

run or do warmups. you don't have

        to do extravagant workouts, unless

your school has such a rigorous

workout. we used to have an nfl

player as a coach and we were put

into hard workouts but at the end of

the day, we were very much in shape.

             two.

        choose your planning technique!

whether it be creating a bullet journal,

a planner provided by your school, or

maybe an online planner or an app.

try to figure out your planning system,

use different methods and see which

one works the best for you!

            three.

choose how you're going to take

your notes. are you going to use

a certain method to jot your notes

down? should you use grid, dotted,

or lined paper for your notes?

find a way that works for you!

            four.

another one is find a decent backpack,

if you don't have one already! i have

          a pink nation backpack, herschel

backpack, and this fjallraven, raven 28.

           they're all very durable backpacks!

and tons of pockets! speaking of

           backpacks, know how you're going

           to organize it!

            five.

know how you're going to organize

            your backpack, folders, binders,

pencil case. so you don't have to

            shove papers inside your backpack

and gets crumpled. i have lost

            so many chemistry homework by

being careless where i put it. so,

            choose an organizing system!
