Study motivation & pen review

Hello everyone and happy New Year!

I'm sorry that I'm not that active lately but I'll try to post more often now.

So today I just wanted to talk about how I motivate myself to study!

Those things are pretty simple and they might not work for others but maybe you can try it if there's nothing else that works for you.

1. Redecorate your workspace

You might've heard often that you should clean up your desk before you start studying so you won't get distracted. But what I do from time to time is redecorating my desk. I put a few simple things there so I'll feel more comfortable and I'll want to sit there. That's what I did today here's how my desk looks like at the moment. I bought those three little cactuses which already make a huge difference, I think.

I also lighted a candle and placed everything at the sides of my desk so I still have enough space to work there.

2. New stationery

The best motivation for me are new pens, pretty binders or a new planner. Things like that motivate me to use them and there's no better way to use stationery than for studying or working. A couple of weeks ago I ordered myself new new pens. The zebra mildliners and muji 0.38 gel pens. I planned to write this blog post today but I haven't expected that my pens will arrive today. So I thought I show them to you and make a little "review" .

I bought three colour packages with 5 colours each of the mildliners. I've seen them a lot on different studygram pages and I likes the colours so I thought I should invest in something that I really want and that would motivate me. As I thought the colours are really nice and I can't wait to use them for my study notes and to show you the results. Here are the pens. And the muji gelpens I bought because I just simply needed new pens for my notes and they have a really good quality.

3. Prepare :

If you prepare anything you'll need for your study session, you won't have to get away from your desk to look for things that you need. If that happens you might get distracted again. And besides that, you'll feel like you already started so you more likely will start to study to not waste the effort. I also like to make myself some tea and light a candle. I always do that before studying so it is kind of part of my study routine.

4. Studygram, studying amino, YouTube:

The next tip is something I do only when nothing else helps or if I just don't want to spend money on new thing at that time because of course I can't do that every day. So sometimes I go on instagram, studying amino or youtube and look for pictures of people's notes where they are telling how productive they were or study with me videos. This Is a very good motivation for me but also very risky because you might accidently also end up procrastinating or distracting yourself.

Ok so that's all of my tips for today. It's not that much but for me they are really helpful and I hope I was able to help at least one person out there with motivating yourself.
