My 9 weeks exams are coming up, and I must get an 100% on them all! So, here’s my tips for that desired A+. Let’s begin!!

• • •

Tip 1: Study methodically.

You don’t want to cram every studying in the night before. Procrastination is BAD! So, study every day until your exam. When the exam is two or three days away, study twice a day!

Tip 2: Teach someone the material.

It will help you understand it better, as well as make sure you retain the info. You will also be alert to solving a problem or finding key concepts/ you weren’t aware of before, and they could make more sense.

Tip 3: Get enough sleep.

This is CLASSIC - if you don’t get enough sleep, you’re not going to do your best. You will perform horribly, and be disappointed when you get a bad grade. So I encourage you to sleep 8-9 hours. I suggest 9pm-5am, or 9:30pm-6am.

Tip 4: (Goes along with tip three;) Wake up an hour earlier!

You might be able to review study guides, flash cards, materials, quizlets, etc if you have another hour to your awake time in a day.

Tip 5: Be studious and pay attention when learning the concepts on your exam.

Go over your notes and materials of concepts, , formulas, ideas, people, dates, and places on your exam. Revise your notes, study guides, or anything you make yourself a week before your exam - make it better. Don’t change it so it takes away the originality of what you wrote first. Just add a quick note or something that will help you understand it - ONLY if it’s still blurry and you’re not quite sure about it.

Tip 6: Study with a friend in a favorite place.

I like studying with my friend Farah* in the school cafeteria and in our study hall group. We work well together and help each other’s conscience. She always clarifies things for me and I help her retain the info.

Tip 7: Ask questions.

Don’t hesitate asking the professor about what he or she is lecturing about if you don’t understand it and you know it will be on the exam.

Tip 8: Be confident in your abilities.

You have so much potential in achieving those good grade. I believe in you!

If you follow my tips #1-7, you will be on the right track. Of course, you can alter the tips to your liking. Share them if you think they helped!

But, tip #8 is up to you. Go grab that golden A!! Thanks for reading. Like, comment, let me know what you think!
