You’re right. The whole world is in an economic downturn and people are trapped in their homes. They fear that they will catch the virus or infect others with it. You’re right, how dare I just dismissively just give tips of positivity?

That is why I will (or hope to) write a message will reach all the people reading this, with a pen manifested from what I know and feel.

You must that life will go on. The Earth will continue to rotate and orbit the Sun regardless of what happens here on Earth. You must be strong enough to push through so you can, not dream, but see a better world with your own eyes. We are humans. We are intelligent life. We will find a way to break through the toughest barriers in the name of life and advancement. In order to do so, you must not give up and stay positive in the face of adversity.

As what Franklin Delano Roosevelt, an irable president of the United States, said to his citizens during the Great Depression:

”The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”

see the best sides in things

this isn't necessarily easy and i still

struggle with it on the daily but try to

see things from a positive side. try to

avoid thinking negatively everytime

something bad happens. just know

that everything happens for a

reason and that it's better to take

things lightly and see the good sides

of things. let's say you failed in a test.

don't look at it as if it's a failure, see

this as an opportunity to better yourself.

know that you'll be okay

even if it feels like your life is falling

apart, don't stress too much because

it will be okay. i know this is the least

helpful thing i could say but know

that time heals. it may take time, it

may feel like forever, but in the end,

things will work out they way they're

supposed to. you're okay :)

surround yourself with the right people

if you're surrounded with people who

are not good for you, leave them. i

know you can do better and find

someone who loves you for you. leave

people that makes you feel horrible

about yourself, leave people that breaks

you down with their every word, leave

people that makes you feel like you don't

matter. if it seems like you have nobody,

my chats are open, talk to me :)

volunteer and be nice

helping other people could make you

feel so much better. the joy and positive

vibe you get when someone is happy with

what you did feels amazing. if you help

people and be nice to everyone, slowly,

you'll feel so much more happier.

write a gratitude list

by writing a gratitude list, you learn to

be more thankful and appreciate the simple

things in life. you'll realize that there's so

much things worth fighting for and that

you are blessed with everything you have

now. be thankful.

live in the present moment.

A lot of times, especially as students , we tend to have our minds running at 135247mph, and we always worry about the future or the past. However the truth is, we cannot go back in time to change the way we responded to certain things , or go into the future and have some loopy premonition of whats going to happen - we cant be certain of any outcome.

Knowing this, you can take some weight off your shoulders and realise you can only control your present self.

There are many mindfulness practices you can try , such as breathwork, meditation, yoga and sports. to be honest, anything can be a mindfulness practice if you are conciously present during it.

be kinder to yourself

Don't beat yourself up over stuff, you're human and it's okay to make mistakes. Let yourself be upset for a bit, and then pick yourself up again.

Maybe treat yourself with the same kindness you'd give to a small child, realise that as a human, you're always growing.

Implementing a more comionate mindset means you make more progress longterm - see it as a nicer way of self discipline

practice an attitude of gratitude

Every single thing in your life is something you should be grateful for. So when you wake up, name at least one thing that you appreciate

When we compare ourselves or our belongings to other people, we irrationally forget what great things we have. Try and understand that there are people that live in way worse conditions that you do, and think of how blessed you actually are.
