things to do during your study break🥛

welcome to this blog!

taking breaks during

studying is very imp-

ortant, but what to do

during those minutes?

in this blog, you can

find some ideas! i

split them into two;

ideas for short breaks

and for long ones.

i hope you enjoy!

  ‒ doodle

     grab a piece of paper

     and doodle all your

     stress away. it isn't

     meant to be perfect,

     so just scribble away!

  ‒ refuel

     get yourself a nice

     cup of tea, refill your

     waterbottle, grab a

     snack and you're

     ready to go again.

     tired of plain water?

     put some pieces of

     fruit in it! you can eat

     the rest of it~

  ‒ stick your head outside

     get some fresh air!

     take a good look

     outside and get ready

     for the next session.

  ‒ stretch

     you've been sitting in

     that chair for a while,

     so get up and stretch

     your muscles! you can

     find tons of easy & quick

     exercises online.

  ‒ tidy your study space

     get rid of everything

     you no longer need.

     this way you won't get

     distracted by those

     things anymore.

  ‒ read something else

     something completely

     unrelated to what you

     are studying. you could

     also solve a puzzle!

  ‒ be careful with technology

     i didn't really know how

     to put this? going on

     your phone and check-

     ing social media is, in

     my opinion, a very danger-

     ous thing to do in a

     short study break. five

     minutes can easily turn

     into fifty.

     but, you can use those

     five minutes to look for

     a new study playlist or

     watch a short motiv-

     ational video. you just

     have to be really careful

     that you don't end up

     watching ten of them.

  ‒ go for a walk

     kinda the same as my

     third idea for a short

     break, but now you have

     the time to go for an

     actual walk. if you have

     a dog, i'm sure it'd love

     to go with you!

  ‒ take a nap

     a twenty minute nap

     did wonders to my

     motivation, and it never

     hurts to try.

  ‒ exercise

     sounds dreadful, i know,

     but it's a good way to

     get your mind off of

     studying for a while.

     you could also do

     some yoga!

  ‒ prepare for the next session

     might be a little obv-

     ious, but still worth

     mentioning.

  ‒ journal

     write about how you

     feel, how you think

     the study session

     went, things you do/

     don't understand (yet),

     get creative!

  ‒ play a game

     do some races in

     mario kart or play

     tetris for all i care.

     you could also play

     a quick card game

     with whomever is

     at home.

  ‒ hang out with your pet

     only if you have one!

     petting my cat and

     hearing it purr makes

     me feel calmer.

  ‒ reward yourself

     give yourself a pat

     on the back. you did

     well and you deserve

     that break.
