I’ve seen a few of these dudes flying around every now and then, but I’ve noticed that they tend to stay were my plants are. Are these fungus gnats or just bugs chilling? If they are fungus gnats, what insecticide would you recommend?

Honestly... I put a but of cinnamon on top of my soil. Kills them all off. But to help prevent it longer use a 3:1 ratio of water(3) and hydrogen peroxide(1)
It's hard to see but the lanky silhouette suggests fungus gnat.
Here's a good article on how to manage them

From my knowledge and experience you can never get rid of them all apparently if you have plants you have gnats and also be careful with that soap and water I’ve murdered a couple of very loved plants with that method ☹

Oh ok, yeah after doing some of my own research that does seem to be the case, also I didn’t spray too much and they seem to be doing just fine :)
