A qeurent is seeking a reader, she's going through a breakup and is asking if she'd get back together with her ex. You pulled out your deck and start shuffling. Pulling the Reversed Queen of Cups, 5 of Swords and then Reversed Knight of Cups.
What is your interpretation to her question ?

It seems like they didn't end on good . Both of them feel very out of touch with their emotions, or even confused. The tarot really is telling them to sort their feelings out before they do anything. This entire spread seems to me like it's screaming "MAYBE". The wound of breakup still feels very fresh, and a concrete answer can't be given just yet, because there's just so much going on. Pain, probably a feeling of betrayal, inner turmoil, a lot of whys.
Thank you for your comment and really good interpretation, too  thats a good explanation of the reading

Sure!
The sequence starts with the subject *The Queen of Hearts reversed*. It is nice how the cards here represent the consultant not with the Queen of Batons, but with the Queen of Cups reversed, because literally she is not simply the querent, but a female friend reversed! Here I am using the court cards as character cards, and this matches the question well because she is asking if she will go back... but the cards already say that she is a friend who (applying the reverse rule on the characters) is not feeling well. So the card is the card of the female friend that is not feeling well, aka "the ex." It is beautiful how the subject here is represented. Following this... from left to right, the Queen enters the 5 of Swords! The 5 of Swords represents the loss, and in this case not only serves as the heart of the matter, telling us that the cards are on topic—the cards answer the question, so the divine is present—the 5 of Swords reinforces the meaning of the Queen and answers the question as *broke up* (loss put in context)... The querent here wants to know if there is a reconciliation, but the sequence closes with a Knight of Cups (Hearts) reversed, which literally means that the path forward (applying the rule of the reversed cards) is not well, which means it stops there. The relationship (the path forward in the realm of the mind and the emotional states) won’t move forward. It’s a neat cut!
The cards say, without any interpretation but just a literal translation:
*The friend that doesn’t feel well (ex-gf) has lost (broke up), and the path of mind and love ends there (the relationship is over).*
The three cards are in present time; they only hint at the short-term future. Why? Because the line is only three cards, and three cards are the minimum amount for a prediction, so what you get from there is a snapshot of the present and near future.
We do not know what the relationship will be in the long-term future.

Thank you for your explanation of the cards  very thorough in the interpretation and yes, a small insight with using 3 cards for the reading as well
i would say she probably isn’t going to get back together with them, not for a while anyway.
Thank you for your interpretation  Would it alright to explain what indicates the answer with your interpretation ?

ofc ! with the knight of cups in reverse it indicates stagnation and a sense of dissatisfaction, and the queen of cups in reversed is all about repressing emotions and feeling deeply unhappy. since the reading was about if they will get back with her, i’m guessing that would make her happy but the result is saying she is not going to be happy. and the 5 of swords is inner conflict which is common after a breakup, which also tells me that the situation with her ex will not progress and she won’t be happy inside. i wish her the best of luck on her healing though
