         introducing [T]XTRA’s debut

         album!

                 What A Mess

         this album is about heartbreak

         and the sorrow of losing a loved

         one. it contains various music

          genres ranging from punk-rock

         to new wave. the songs are meant

         to help a listener through hard

          times, such as a hard break up,

          the loss of a family member or a

         friend.

           the title track “What A Mess” is

           about the state of a relationship.

           which in this case is a mess, they’re

           trying and trying to fix it but it too

           broken to be fixed, their love is

            beyond repair.

          “Broken Sanctuary” has a deep

           connection with feeling safe.

           because a sanctuary is a happy

           environment. but this is an edgy

           album! as you can see there is

            a theme of things being broken

           in this album. the song is about

            feeling at ease, but that has gone,

           the once happy individuals can

           no longer love each other.

            they’re partner is their sanctuary

           but they’re now gone and neither

           feel as though they are happy

           with their separation.

           freesias are beautiful flowers,

           delicate and can wilt easily.

           “Withered Freesia” is about

           broken trust, freesias are the

           symbol for trust, but once

            they wither, it takes an eternity

           to grow back.

           when you find yourself

           dwelling on the past, on all

           the mistakes, the little things

           you wish you could change or

           wish you never did, you may

           use the word “Sinking”. (If you

            couldn’t tell already, the album

           has a story line in the songs!)

           as most know, there is only one

           “Ace Of Hearts” in a deck, and

            if it gets lost or torn, you can’t

            play. if someone else has the

           card then they can control it,

           which in some cases, is the same

           with the heart.

           here’s a sample of the b-side

           unfortunately, we can’t go

           any further than that or it

           might spoil some debut

           stage information!

         now for the album itself!

         as you can see, we’ve been

         keeping a very dark pallet

          with lots of red and black.

          well guess what? the album

         is no different!

         the album design was made

         to look like shattered glass

         signifying that the heart can

         break, and is as fragile as a

         pane of glass.

         i got some inspiration from fancy

         when making this poster, i’m sure

         that you could tell that straight

          away lol

         i’m not really sure what to say

         about the photocards! i just

          thought that these pictures

         match the theme and colours

         of the album!

         i decided to grab some lyrics from

         both txt and twice songs and sort

         of smoosh them together! it makes

         a little bit of sense, my translations

         probably aren’t too accurate, but

         let’s just hope they’re close enough!
