As I start off with every PSA I will/had made here's the community guidelines if you haven't read them!

There will be some but not a lot of spelling errors! You have been warned!

°-Basics-°

   You have to respect the original artist even if you don't want to. They put hours and hours into their art and some people take five seconds just to re it. They don't think about the artist when doing this. The artist will try to stop this if they find out since the 'stealer' is basically claiming the art as their own and not crediting the original.

   Crediting the original artist is a good thing. If you do that, I praise you. Putting 'Credit to the original artist' is better then nothing. Yes, it doesn't help at all with the stealing art situation. When you're posting someone else's art please try your best to find who drew it. "Credit to ______, they're the one who made this!" is the best way to credit an artist. Insert name here kind of way. Either say their name or have a link to their main website they use. (Twitter, amino, discord, etc)

°-Ways to credit-°

  The website TinEye is the best place to go to find the creator of the art, better known as the original artist. TinEye can't always find images you try to find the original of. The website does update frequently but it doesn't always have the right credit. That means it either doesn't have the image ed to their system or they give you the wrong original.

  If TinEye doesn't work for you then try to find the artist's signature. Here's how you can easily do that.

Look for the signature, if you can't find it continue looking for it. Its better to do something then just give up.

And look at that! The original artist is named Orange so, if you where posting this I would've suggest you added "Credit to Orange for this art!" Orange is actually OrangeFlavordCat, someone I know, she let me use her art for this post. I did get permission to use her art!

°-Permissions-°

   People don't always ask for the artist's permission to post. Like I said above I got permission to use the art, you don't always have to ask for permission though. Some artists would prefer it if you asked before you post their art, keep in mind you have to respect the artist. Everyone has their own mind set. If they say no, like I said please respect them. Everyone has feelings, especially artists.

°-Commissions/Requests-°

°~Requests~°

  Most of the time (mostly busy) artists don't have time to draw anything for other people. People who push artists to do their requests are fine. Never push people to do stuff for them, especially artists. People get stressed when stuff like this happens to them. Some artists will open up requests for a time being, sometimes it's a rare thing and sometimes it never happens. Like I said before you have to respect the artist's mind set.

   Requests are most uncommon for busy and or popular artists. They don't take requests for certain reasons. Being busy, stressed, over-worked, and much much more. Again, harassment is the most common when it comes to someone requesting/or asking for free art.

°~Commissions~°

  In the artist community commissions are the most common thing you could find. Some people are down on their luck, need an update with drawing materials, or something bad has happened and they need help. If you pitch in the artist could/will draw something for you. It might be small or big depending on how much you give.

   One of my real life friends actually said this. He doesn't like art personally when someone asks for money from it but he has no reason to hate it. If you also think it's bad with no solid proof then please think about what the some of artists are going through.

"Some people think commissions are stupid. Paying money for something you'll use only for a day."

  Everyone is welcome to their opinions but hating something or someone with no good reason is pretty bad in my opinion. Artists who take commissions most of the time need help in someway. I'm going to say this a lot but, everyone has a life, artists, writers and just anyone in General actually has a life. People have feelings we're not robots.

°-Harassment/threats-°

Harassment is very common around the world. People push artists to do their request/free art they what the Artist to draw. Most of the time when this happens the person who's pushing the artist usually get threats. These threats, most of the time, aren't that serious but death threats sometimes pop up. Some people don't understands this but that's BAD. "KYS (Kill your self)" is commonly said to people, especially artists. If you get this threat someone who can handle it and not just stand by. Don't let people push you around like that if they do someone who can talk to them.

°-Guidelines (Rules)-°

  It CLEARLY states in the crediting part of the community guidelines that you have to credit the origina artist. Not all communities have rules like this, but we do so if you're here you have to follow them. It can't be your way all the time. There are rules in this amino and rules in the real world.
