Pip stood there watching as everything whipped past their face and started once again, almost like someone had been rewinding a movie. Once everything began to move at a normal pace, Pip noticed a young woman had been scrubbing the floors. Dirtied in tattered clothing, she looked as though she hadn’t had a break or a decent meal in forever.

“What’s going on in this story?” Pip questions quietly, watching from afar. From a distance three obnoxiously loud voices, their faces had been blurred out. The young dinosaur scrubbing the floors had been picked on, laughed out and mistreated right in front Pip. Seeing this made them furious causing them to come out of hiding, but it was like a sudden force was stopping them from continuing on. Gritting their teeth, they turned and began to explore the home instead, looking for a what it is that’s causing this time loop.

As they take their time examining the house for any clues, they find a room on the far end of the house, isolated from everyone else. It barely had anything in it, the bed looked as though it had come from an antique shop, and there were hardly any clothes in there. The room looked as if it were for a homeless person. Moments after entering, footsteps began approaching the room causing pip to hide under the bed next to the only other inhabitants, dust bunnies and lent.

“I can’t believe I was left with this family. I’m always treated cruelly, no clothes, table scraps, and nothing nice.I wish I could have something nice for once.” She says with a sigh, her tail swaying in front of Pip as they sit as quietly as possible. It didn’t take long for a poof to sound followed by an unfamiliar both.

“Well, would you like to go to the ball tonight? I can get you a one way ticket there, my dear.” The voice says. Pip scoots up and sees what looks like the first child from their last encounter.

“Another soul fragment of Frisk.” They say under their breath as the conversation between the young lady and Frisk continues.

“Is it possible for someone like me to go to a ball? I mean, I’m pretty much nothing, so it’s not like it’d make a difference anyway.” She replies with obvious sadness and despair in her voice. She wanted to go, but she knew the family she was with would never allow something like that.

“But of course dear, all you have to do is leave later than everyone else. I’ll help you get ready and everything.” Frisk says poofing a beautiful strapless dress into existence. “Now my dear Alphys, you shall be able to attend the ball.

“Thank you… uh…”

“Fairy God Mother.” She replies with a smirk. “Oh my, the shoes… they’re not here.” She adds realizing the incomplete outfit that sits before her.

“The shoes? But where could they be?” Alphys questions looking around frantically, only to lock eyes with Pip under the bed. “Who… who are you?”

“Sorry for not coming clean earlier. My name is Pip, and I heard and saw everything. I’m really sorry that any of this happens to you, you definitely deserve better.” Pip says,standing up after crawling from under the bed. Suddenly, loud footsteps once again sounded, making their way to Alphys’ room. As Alphys hid the dress, Pip crawled back under the bed once again to avoid being found out.

“I’ll come around the time they leave for the ball, which should be soon.” Frisk says before poofing away.

“Alphys!” The voice says booming into her room causing her to tense up immediately, sweaty palms and forehead made it obvious she was filled with discomfort and anxiety. “Make sure to clean the bathrooms and our bedrooms while we’re gone. We’re heading out to the ball.” She adds before cackling and leaving out. Alphys lets out a sigh hearing the door slam in the distance and the silence of the house.

“Well, at least they’re gone. You can come out now.” She says slumping on the bed in discouragement. Pip crawls from under the bed once again, this time to console Alphys, and the fairy poofs back into existence once again.

“You could go to the ball if only you had the shoes.” Frisk replies seeming as disappointed as Alphys had been. Pip, with the determined look on their face, sat there thinking of what could be done to give Alphys the best night of her life. Suddenly, their book bag begins to tug and pull, causing confusion. ing they stored an item inside, Pip took the locked box he got from the last story out of his bag.

“A box? But what could be inside?” Alphys says. Before she could even get her next sentence out, her necklace began to tug and pull at her neck. On the chain had been a key, forcing its way to the box. Allowing it to as it pleases, the key enters the keyhole of the box and unlocks it, revealing the slippers they’d been looking for.

“The slippers? But how did you get them?” Frisk questions before the sudden realization comes around. “We’re stuck aren’t we, and I gave you those.” She adds and Pip nods slowly. “You seemed a little familiar, but that box, I gave you.”

“Alphys can go to the ball now, that’s what matters right now. Get ready, I’ll be waiting for you outside, I’ll escort you.” Pip says getting up and leaving out to allow Alphys to change. They stood outside where rubber duck sat. Frisk appeared outside, poofing the little item into a beautiful white horse. Alphys came not long after, her beautiful long, elegant purple ballroom gown with winding vine like patterns, and blooming lavender roses.

“I’m ready, Pip.” Alphys says shyly. Pip smiles sweetly, holding out their hand to guide her to the horse. She takes it and they help her onto it.

“You look stunning, Alphys. I’m happy to be your escort to the ball.” Pip says getting on and taking off. Frisk right behind them.

“I’m sure you know the rest of the story, but for Alphys, this only lasts until midnight. So make sure you’re back before then, before the change. And Pip…. Good Luck.” She says before disappearing into a cloud once again.

Pip gets her to the ball quickly and safely, with just enough time before the dancing begins. They help her down and make sure she’s all set. From there, they could see everyone, even the of the royal family. Alphys had been staring longingly at the tall bluefish with an eyepatch and an all white suit, looking for someone to dance with.

”Undyne of the royal family.” She says under her breath. “Before I go inside, here, take this.” She says handing Pip the necklace from around her neck. “Take this. I’m not sure I quite understand everything, but this is something very precious to me and I hope it comes in handy on your journey.”

“Thank you, Alphys. I really appreciate this. I wish I could stick around a little longer but, “ A door with an upside down question mark appears once again. “This usually happens when I’ve completed the most important part. So, I’ll see you when I see you.”

“See you later, Pip. And thank you once again.” She says as Pip slowly crosses the threshold once again and is this time, let out in the middle of a woodland area. Trees, grass, adn bushes for miles. With the exception of a small stone building.

“I wonder what this could be?”
