Hello, UTAU Amino ! I'm here with a post about a story me and my pal made because we were bored af. This was our first time creating a story and doing a collab. Anyway, I wanted to go with literate version, but it was too much to handle, so we went for a simple version because why not. Anyway, it's kinda cringy because we are basically young kids(not really) here creating a story to skip class or something. Welp, hope you enjoy-

Sorry for grammar mistakes or lazy parts, we had to keep switching povs because it was hard to share the same sentence- We're new to this and proof at the very end of the post!

Cross's Pov

I opened my eyes to see sunlight flickering through my window. Rubbing my temples and 'eyes', I sat up on my bed, checking the calendar. Excitement rushed through me, realising that I had my birthday today! I got up and dressed up, trying to look neat. I hoped my friends prepared something for me! I walked to the door and opened it, trying my best to hide my excitement as I walked out of the room. To my dismay, everyone looked normal, like nothing special was going on, even Dream, the one I loved. I hid my hurt, and walked up to them, greeting them.

“Heya guys! Such a special day, isn't it today?”

I implied, trying to find signs whether they knew or not.

Killer's pov

Me and the others were discussing what's our roles and what we need to do for Cross's birthday, after a while of discussing, me Dust and Horror were picked to distract Cross, meanwhile Reaper was on drinks, Blue on food, Error and Ink on decorations, Geno on games and CC (A.K.A Cross Chara) on supervision. Dream and Nightmare were gonna go and find presents for him because they're apparently the only skeletons who haven't bought a present for cross. But suddenly, Cross burst through the door and into the living room, we all quickly tried to act Normal and not suspicious. He stood there for awhile probably zoning out and then went to me dust and horror, then we started to chat.

Cross : “Heya guys! Such a special day, isn't it today?”

The three of us obviously knew what he was trying to imply but we needed to surprise him, so we played dumb.

Killer : “Not really, it seems like a normal day to me”

Dust and horror nodded, following the act. Then I noticed a small frown on Cross. I felt kinda bad for doing that, so i decided to maybe ask him if he wanted to hang out, plus it would be a good distraction so he wont find out what the others are doing.

Killer : “Hey Cross, wanna go hang out at the mall? Maybe we can visit an arcade or go buy some new knives”

Cross seemed to lighten up a bit and nodded. Then we all went to go to the mall.

Ink's Pov

I made sure that Cross was outside, not being able to hear us plan and decorate this place. Once Killer, Horror and Dust took Cross away, we took this as a signal and we started working. So I dragged the tall glitchy skeleton with me to decorate.

“C'mon Glitch! Let's get to work-” I half-dragged and half-pulled him to the room where we were supposed to decorate.

“Whatever you say, shorty” Error teased.

I stopped for a second, “Hey! I'm not short- You're just tall!” I grumbled, not this again.

“You're just too stubborn to it the truth, Shorty” Error started smirking, he was obviously pleased at how annoyed the short artist reacted.

“No I'm not!” I crossed my arms, half-dropping him and mumbled at how annoying he could be under my breath.

“What did you say, shorty?” Error still has that smirk on his face.

I rolled my 'eyes', knowing that I can't do anything to be taller, so I just muttered, “C'mon, let's just do the work.”

“k lets go, shorty” Error's smirk was now replaced with a grin.

I got like a stack of papers, so I should be able to draw and colour or paint and do whatever I want to decorate this room. Once I made paper hanger decorations which are shaped like stars, I realised that I was too short to put them.

“Hey- uh- Error- I Need help here-” I itted that I needed help.

“So u finally itted that you're short~?” Error said with a very teasing voice.

“No- I'm not-” I shuttered slightly, though I had to it that I wasn't tall enough to hang them.

“Oh ok, if you were tall enough you wouldn't need my help, so I'm just gonna sit here” Error said grinning.

I sighed and gave in reluctantly, “Alright- fine- I'm short, now will you help me?”

“Glad you finally itted that you're short, now move over, squid”

“Fine” I mumbled, I handed the decorations to him.

Error then summoned his strings and used them to hang the decorations, he also hung some decorations himself.

Cross Chara's Pov

I followed Blue to the kitchen, since I know most of Cross's favourite treats. The short blue skeleton was preparing aprons for us, which looked pretty dumb , to me, at least. So I told him to make some things he liked:

“okay, Cross loves chocolate related food, so make chocolate cake, chocolate cookies, chocolate-” I was about to continue but he interrupted me with the weirdest combination.

“Chocolate tacos!” Blue exclaimed proudly. “Tacos are amazing,so why not chocolate tacos?”

I inwardly groaned, knowing that this was a horrible idea, so I tried to convince him to make hot chocolate instead, but I suppose he's going to keep arguing that chocolate tacos are the new trend. When suddenly, Reaper intervened in our argument and he looked confused.

“am I interrupting something here?”

I looked at Reaper, slightly surprised that he was here, since he was quiet af.

“Yes, but a good thing though, I do 𝗻 𝗼 𝘁 want chocolate tacos.” Earning myself a frown from Blue.

“well uhh, mind helping me with the drinks?”

“Sure, make sure to get hot chocolate, he loves them-” I suggested, hoping he doesn't go with coffee.

“K, also, from what I've heard, he really likes chocolate right?”

I nodded.

“so what about chocolate milk?”

“Eh- probably not- He'll maybe scream or something.” I warned Reaper.

“wait what-”

“Apparently, he's afraid of cows, and milk comes from cows, so he'll just scream, I guess.” I shrugged as I explain to him.

“oof- soo- can I add coffee?” the coffee addicted skeleton asked

“He'd prefer hot chocolate.” I reminded him.

“but can I at least make coffee too-”

I sighed, “Fine.”

“yey” and then reaper left to make the drinks.

Nightmare's Pov

Dream didn't know what to buy so we thought of going to the mall, when we were there, he went through the stores so fast, like a chicken searching for its lost eggs- meanwhile I was just standing there, I already bought a present that I'm sure cross would really 'love' hehehe… After a while of searching, we came across a section with Cross, Dust, Horror and Killer there, when they noticed us, Killer quickly grabbed cross saying he found a store full of knives. They came to us and Dust asked.

“have you guys found a present for Cross yet?” I just nodded while Dream just shook his head, frantically looking everywhere for something that he could buy for Cross. Dust and Horror nodded then went to follow Killer so they won't lose sight of them. Then I heard a scream, I looked over to dream and I was looking at him confused, then I looked at where he was looking at and I assumed he had found something to buy for Cross. We went to the shop to buy it, we paid the cashier then quickly ran out of the mall and ran back to the house.

Geno's Pov

Me and Cross Chara were in the living room, figuring out what games to put, after a while of discussing, we decided to put some RPG games and throw the knife to the dartboard, after setting them up, we sat down at the sofa to rest, when suddenly Nightmare and Dream came bursting through the door, and then the others all finished their tasks and came to the living room too. Then Error spoke up,

“has everybody finished their tasks?”

We all nodded

“good, I'm gonna call Killer so we can tell them to get Cross here”

Error took out his phone and unlocked the home screen, then he started to dial some numbers and put his phone up his non-existent 'ears' we all waited silently there.

Killer's Pov

We were still checking out some knives till I got a call from Error, I excused myself out and then accepted.

“Hey Killer, everything has been prepared, you can bring Cross here now.”

I just hummed and then he hung up.

“hey guys it's getting late, why don't we go home?”

Cross actually yawned and nodded, Dust and Horror followed.

~Time skip~

when we reached home and when we opened the doors, the lights were off, then suddenly…

Cross's Pov

I scrambled back when they all shouted ‘Surprise!!’ I was surprised that they knew this whole time and I wiped off a tear as I hugged most of them.

“Thank you all so much for ing!” My voice was slightly caught from the happiness. Then suddenly Dream jumped and pounced on me, falling down with me and embracing me tightly, I hugged him back tightly, whispering that I loved him. Everybody else just stared at us giving wolf whistles and Lenny faces, except nightmare, hopefully he doesn't try to yeet me again. We spent the rest of the day playing games, food and enjoying themselves. And when i opened the presents, I got knives from Killer, chocolate from cc, another knife from Dust- and a knife again from Horror- Geno gave me clothes, Reaper gave me a dead corpse- wtf- and then I got a necklace from Dream, it's those ones where their split in two and they become a heart when you put them together. I smiled at Dream, I pulled Dream and hugged him then kissed Dream's forehead, his face looked like he was gonna explode into golden blush. I smiled, today was officially the best day ever. BUT…

Blooper

I opened the giant box nightmare had only to reveal- a COW- I ran and jumped on Dream's back, clinging to him like my life depended on him

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Everybody in the room broke into laughter, Dream decided to prank me and got closer to the cow since I'm on his back

“AAAAAA KEEP THAT THING AWAY FROM MEEEE“

Dream laughed before saving my butt by teleporting us to a flower patch, he sat down while I leaned on him, my head on his shoulder, atleast I'm with my precious cinnamon roll, I then snuggled on him, he reached out his hands and held me safely but gentle then i fell asleep on him snuggling into his chest. Sleep washed over us, in this beautiful place.
