Marble :blue_heart:

*Hello folks!

*Today's post is a little bit different content-wise compared to my others lately!

*I'm here to introduce Marble, my newest oc!

*Marble is a young Swatchling, whomst I have decided to work into the story of Deltarune solely because I want to uwu.

*He's probably the youngest swatchling, like a little brother to most of the butlers. He's got a funky coloration though. Due to his coding, his color placement was glitched and is now stuck as it is.

*He is entirely unable to change his colors as far as he knows. The blue and orange and permanent, and reflect his personality and how he interacts with others. His eyes and mouth are Blue on the right, and Orange on the left.

*Marble, as most darkeners and swatchlings do, looks up to Swatch as a role-model. Despite being different to the rest of his kin, Marble is still being trained to become a butler once he's older, and Swatch gifted him the two-tone glasses not unlike his own.

*Other Information:

*Queen doesn't really care about Marble in all honesty. If she's around him she isn't mean or anything, she just sees him as a kid. In her oen words, kids are stupid, and adults are even more stupid. Regardless, Marble always does his best to help the other swatchlings even when he technically shouldn't do so yet.

*Marble met Spamton once. At first he treated him as a friend or playmate, he liked that they both looked up to Swatch and that Spamton had a funny voice. Though, eventually he got spooked by one of Spamton's lil greyscale moments and told Swatch about him. He didn't see him again after that.

*When the lightners showed up, Marble just didn't leave the Cafe and stayed with Swatch. He couldn't initiate battles yet and hardly knew how to summon an attack, so staying in the shop was the safest option.

*Marble definitely talked with Rouxls after he got thrown out of the shop. He liked the cool way that Rouxls talked and that they had the same goal, to become really good butlers. Rouxls humored him before managing to slip away, so technically they're still on good .

*In the future, Marble may learn that he can change colors, those on his feathers. If his emotions were to turn extreme there is a chance the color pallette could be altered, but he doesn't mind his current pattern all that much anyways.

*In the far, far, future there's a chance Marble could take over for Swatch, or become a leader of his own cafe elsewhere. He has potential, it's just that he hasn't had the chance to do anything yet.

*When everything was moved to Castle Town, Marble automatically was transferred with Swatch. He still works and trains, but now in Castle Town instead :3

*I think he'd honestly be a little scared of Lancer once they met, but I feel like he'd convince Lancer to let him help around the castle and follow him. This would let Lancer refer to him as his "Always Around Guy" and he'd be able to (attempt to) keep Lancer out of trouble. Maybe they'd even be friends eventually.

*Marble probably heard Ralsei was a prince, went and insisted he be allowed to help him, only for Ralsei to immediately turn him down before treating him to dinner. Marble realized that Ralsei actually was able to handle everything himself and gave up on the pursuit very quickly.

*Idk why I suddenly decided to design a Swatchling OC, but I think I'm very happy with how he turned out ^^

*Honestly, probably partially because of Swatchby Ship art I've seen recently posted here :eyes:

*It might be because I've seen some really cool Addison ocs posted lately, and I wanted to make an oc for the chapter. I'm not quite a fan of Addison vibes tho, so I decided that the big buff birdmen were my best choice :pray:

*Also, just defeated Spamton on the normal route of Chapter 2, and I still just don't see the appeal of this funky lil salesman. Just like Jevil, he's a pog character and I love the story, but Spamton G. Spamton is just not for me.

*Side Note: The above image is what inspired Marble!

*It's still my art, it's just some pixel work that I did like, a month or two ago that I wanted to redesign.

*I love Marble's younger and rounder design tho and much prefer it to this dude above :point_right:
