Semi!Abyss :star2: Ec-4o.Verse

*I bring to you attention: Abyss.

*Today's reference post is for Abyss!Sans but in Ec-4o.Verse fashion!

*This design actually was created by a person IRL (Trivia: idk if anyone was around for the first introduction post, but can you guess what connection they had to me?). It was a duel effort between myself and this person.I did Geno's design, he did Abyss's.

*I've revised Geno since then, but have yet to make Abyss a proper reference. So, I did a slight redesign of this wonderful og design :)

*As stated above, Abyss is a Semi. "Semi" is short for "Semi-Organic", and they aren't very favorable in this universe. During the war, people who were fatally wounded sometimes were given a second chance. Portions of their organic form replaced by damaged parts of Ectos.

*Abyss is one of those who turned. Semis usually won't be detected as an organic when faced with the genocidal Ectos, so some people hurried to bury themselves in machine parts. Abyss found himself alone in a deserted town, injured and dying. Someone took him in and healed him. "Repaired" him, as they said.

*It wasn't long until he found these people were hiding from Ectos and most were just like him. Near the very end of the war, their leader had mysteriously been killed, found on the outskirts of town with his tech disabled.

*Abyss took charge of a smaller group, and took them out to face the world. He'd get ahold of whoever dismantled their leader, the man who'd taken him in. He'd get revenge.

*After this tragic backstory, Abyss and his group were quick to raid caravans and equip themselves with supplies, artillery, and vehicles. With the war over and the world attempting to rebuild, they scouted the wastes for years, pillaging those who came through and taking only what they needed. A "Toll".

*Abyss stumbled across Dust's home eventually, when the skeleton was living there alone, long before Blue and Stretch had arrived. Dust had given them warning, shot at them and yelled to stay off the property. Of course, Abyss was curious. Why hadn't he shot them from inside the safety of his home?

*Abyss returned with two of his favorite officers in tow, Ganz and Cypher. They spoke to Dust through his door, until he finally relented amd came out to talk. After making a treaty, Dust was left alone, and anything stolen by travelers was usually returned to him within the day thanks to the Semi's patrols.

*When Blue arrived with his brother, Abyss had been furious for Dust having harbored organics on his turf. However, learning they were mechanics, Abyss allowed them to stay in return for repairs every once in a while for his clan.

*Abyss and his group are the main reason all their supplies get to and from their destinations unharmed, and why no one has ever stolen from the loaded warehouse full of equipment.

*I like to think that Abyss is a bit blunt. He doesn't quite get social cues, and is anything but tactful. At his side usually trail Cypher (Bill Cypher!Sans) and Ganz (GZTale!Sans). Ganz and Abyss were close friends, and Ganz usually helped Abyss with smaller things since he doesn't exactly have functioning hands. Cypher makes all deals and agreements with others under Abyss's guidance.

*Abyss's wire/cords/tubes/whatever they are connect to his chest. They act kinda like helping him breathe, but they generate electrical magic in the air and funnel it to his soul to keep him living. The ones on his back can extend into a shield or retract almost compketely into his back. He usually leaves them down though.

*Quick Bonus Concepts:

*For Cypher, I'm really trying to figure out whether he'd be Ecto or Semi? It's perfectly plausible as an Ecto he was a very, very high end one. Never really deactivated, or reactivated shortly after the war. His personality so intact, he managed to the group of halflings without the others noticing he was fully bot. That, or he'd be a Semi. Surely as a Semi he'd just have been himself, and managed to get professional modifications somewhere else before ing the group.

*Ganz, I'm looking forward to making him. Semis often have problems with pre-existing AI activating in their Ecto-parts and scrambling their brains. If I recall, Ganz had another version of him, Mel, that existed in his mind. Well, I want Mel to be an AI that takes over and influences Ganz on occasion. People thought he just had a split personality thing, until Blue gave him a repair and learned that Mel was a seperate entity that shared Ganz's hard-drive. I just think that's be neat :)

*Anywho, I just wanted to say that Abyss is an official character, I just don't draw him often enough.

*I'll happily take other character suggestions for who should be in this Verse, since I want to make more to flesh out the world itself. Comment ideas if you want!
