Some of the questions that some might have about AU’s inconsistency that will all be explained in the end of the story include:

-Isn’t Chara the first fallen human child?

-Isn’t Asgore and Toriel older as they are millennia old?

Underbound is a prequelish AU of Undertale. This AU takes place in the year 195X, as we follow the journey of the character Rease, the first fallen human child in the AU, as they travel to the underground to free the monsterkind and defeat The King of Monsters as a repayment to their caretaker who took them in. Along the way, they would meet other monsters almost their age (12–15) who would their party. As we explored the underground, we saw the consequences of the King's negligence. As the monsters of the underground were suffering from shortages of supplies, those living in poverty and hunger became more frequent. As of now, this AU will have three arcs: Pacifist Route, Genocide Route, and True Ending Route, in which the True Ending Route will show how this AU will connect this version of Undertale.

Story:

Long ago, two races ruled over the Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS. One day, war broke out between the two races. After a long battle, the humans were victorious. They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell. After they were sealed in the underground, the monsters tried to rebuild their civilization. Everything was working out at first until the Queen disappeared and the King’s mind started to deteriorate. Eventually, a new law was established by the King, which was to kill all humans who fell into the underground and bring their souls to him. Few years have ed, the supplies have started to dwindle, and poverty has risen. The monsters begged the King to help them, but he never did. But all hope is not lost, as there is a prophecy that one day an angel who has seen the surface will descend from above and bring freedom to the monsters.
