Hello there lovely people of Amino!
Silver here with a new collab with the one, the only, Scisso!
We thought we'd look at NPCs not commonly talked about, and found... this guy... The so-called Master Puzzler!
No, we had never heard of him before either.
Please us, as we explore this grouchy, grumpy monster!

It was a quiet day in Waterfall. Not an unusual occurrence, to be sure, Waterfall was known for it's calm serenity and peacefulness. At least, whilst Undyne wasn't charging around the waters in her 'training' with that odd skeleton from Snowdin. No, it was very quiet. The only sounds were the slow drips of water echoing through the tunnels
A human child, by the name of Frisk, stumbled back into the damp caverns, dripping with sweat, and panting heavily. A faint smell of brimstone clung to their body. Briefly, they pocketed a ragged notebook, before trudging onwards.
Rounding a corner, they gave a short start of suprise as they came across an unfamiliar face. They definitely had not come across this monster before.
He, or at least they assumed they were a he, had a large, white beard on his dark, bald head, which had single horn sticking out to the right. They bore a strange resemblance to well-known game character. Upon seeing Frisk's approach, they turned to them, to dispense their grumbling.
"Bah!" He began "Today's monsters don't appreciate what makes puzzles great! Nowadays, 'puzzles' are nothing but lazers and moving rocks!"
He looked up into the sky, shaking his fists
"Give me something that challenges the deepest reaches of my mind!"
Very melodramatic, no wonder they hadn't seen this monster before. He clearly didn't spend much time out and about.
Ignoring Frisk's bored, and unimpressed look, the strange monster continued on his ranting spiel.
"Why, back in my day, puzzles were a revered, and challenging craft. Back then, I was known as 'The Master Puzzler'"
Frisk highly doubted it.
"There was none of these, these machines to do all the hard work! No, each conundrum was carefully crafted by hand, by masters of construction. You take a look at the ones in the ruins. Now those are some real puzzles!"
Throughout his speech, his already screeching voice had slowly risen higher in hysteria, as he became more and more highly strung. If this went on much longer, Frisk was certain something would burst.
"Bah! This generation is hopeless... Hang about though. Let me show you what I'm talking about..."
