That means an actual name and place of the artist or a link to the original piece of art or artists profile. "Art not mine/credit to the artist/etc." Is not credit, it's just denouncing that you made the thing you've shared.

Credit is important for a couple of reasons. One is that you're taking someone's hard work and either using it to get attention for yourself or showing it to others, who will then use it themself or show it further. The artist gets none of this attention even though they're the one who has worked probably for years to gain the skills to create the piece you're just taking a second to repost.

Second is that if you don't include credit people will have no way of knowing if the artist is fine with their works being used and reposted by others. If someone takes one of my drawings without asking or crediting I consider that a cade if art theft. They have taken something from me without permission and given me nothing in return.

This is why I'm personally not fine with artwork going uncredited, others might have other reasons, or even be fine with people not giving them credit. It's important to though that the latter is not the majority, most artists do not want you to use their art and give them nothing.
