Howdy! I’m back with another chapter of Friendtale! I know it have been quite a long time once more but I have been doing changes about the AU story and even designs of some characters with Shira.
Hope you enjoy this chapter! We are currently working on the other ones and hopefully we’ll soon reveal the characters designs.
You are new to this universe? Do not worry, you can still discover it!
Maybe I’ll edit those chapters later but the story will be the same so don’t worry. Also this universe will be in Wattpad! But not yet, we will announce when is going to be present. Sorry for the long explanation but it was necessary.
Like always I’ll credit each art used in this story! Be sure to check them out! Credit of background goes to Kenet.
Time taken: Three hours or so but accompanied by some months since we change part of the story.

Chapter 3
“The story of this place”

The monsters enjoyed the peace of the underground but they were also kind of concerned about the legend. The delta rune was their belief and it was really important for them since they thought it could predict if that peace would last or a horrible disgrace would happen.
Not only that but it had a special main meaning as well. That symbol represented the kingdom itself and the royal family. The upper arrows represent Toriel and Asgore while the lower arrow represented Asriel death. And the winged orb represent the family itself because they are the rulers of the underground.
The monster kind honored this symbol and respect it. They also show it by having usually a poster of it in their homes or stores, not only that but each royal guard had it on their armor as well. The delta rune story was a deep one and of great importance. Despite that some fragments of it were lost or simply keep as a secret.
“Well and that’s all about it friend! Heh, this old monster still re about history. Is important after all!” Gerson explained while cleaning his glasses.
“That explains a lot then... since I see that symbol everywhere and the library doesn’t have enough information.” Shira replied and looked at him wondering the lack of some books in that place.
“Hm... I’m not sure about that but maybe they got lost or even stolen. Lucky I most of it and write it in some papers. Maybe I’ll donate it later on when is more organized. Is good to know our history after all!” He exclaimed while some soft chuckles came present.
“Alright, thanks... I should get going back to Snowdin. See ya later, pal.” The skeleton said goodbye and turn around to leave
In her way back she take a closer look at the houses and stores. Just like the legend said the inhabitants had it in each place either was in posters, flags or even clothes.
“Heh, I’ll just go home for now...” Shira said to herself and enter to the house.
She enter to the room and lock the door to read a borrowed book of the library. It didn’t have that much information but there was a part that worried her at times, wondering if it could be true.
Despite our long history a lot of monsters believe in the prophecy. A savior can come to free all of the monsters or a angel of death would come to bring horrible suffering. Is a mystery what could happen to the monsters but we have the hope that everything will change for the better.
Meanwhile a child of the surface fall down in the underground. The buttercups cushioned the fall, giving protection to the new visitor. He slowly get up feeling his body kind of sore and looked confused at the place.
“Huh, what just happened? It kinda hurts... is so quiet, I should check if anyone is in here.” The kid walked doubtfully and abandon the flowerbed.
Silently the child decided to start a new journey and look for a way out. Soon enough he found a big door with a delta rune symbol, it was new and completely unknown for him of course. He enter and once done he suddenly stopped since something moved in the ground.
“Howdy! I’m Flowey! Flowey the Flower! You are new to the underground aren’t cha?” A red flower appeared and it had a very friendly aspect.
“Yes, I am...” The child replied in a soft tone.
“Golly, you sure look confused! I better teach you how things work around here! Are you ready?” The flower talked cheerfully and smiled.
“Yeah! Alright, Flowey!”
It became dark for a moment and there was only the two of them. A red heart was present along with some options.
“Heh, now do you see that heart? That is your soul, the very culmination of your being!” Flowey explained confidently without stopping smiling.
The human only nodded while observing how some kind of white seeds appeared and started to get quite nervous.
“Aww, don’t worry! These are friendly pellets! It will help your soul become stronger! Catch them all friend!” The crimson flower lied and suddenly throw them.
“Ouch! S-stop please! Help!” The child begged and fall on he’s knees in pain.

“You sure are so innocent... you know? Is a pity actually. In this world is kill or be killed! That’s why I am doing a favor to you. So you don’t have to suffer and I’ll have your soul forever!” Flowey tone changed to one more psychotic and he’s smile was terrifying.
The friendliness pellets surrounded him and it was coming to a end. Suddenly someone save him by using a blue magic fire ball.
“What a horrible creature torturing such a innocent child! Do not worry, I am Toriel the caretaker of the ruins.” A goat like monster present herself in a sweet voice, dressed in a long tunic and quite elegant that also had the symbol of before as well.
“Thank you, Toriel... my name is Frisk. Nice to meet you!” He replied with a small smile and accepted her paw to get up.
“Oh my, you are hurt! Come, I’ll guide you through the catacombs. We’ll go to my home so you can recover.” She kindly offered and gently guide him by taking he’s hand.
“Alright! Also... what is that symbol that the door haves? Is so odd, I never seen that one before.” Frisk mentioned while looking curious at her.
The guardian sighed and give a gentle smile to the new human. It was going to be a challenge to take care of another one since she ed very well what happened to the other ones.
“Well my child... it can be complex to explain since you are new. We will be arriving home first and treat your wounds. But soon enough you’ll get to know the story of this place...” Toriel replied with melancholy and continue guiding him.

Heh, that’s alright! It can be hard to create a universe after all. We took months since we don’t want to rush it and do a special story.
Do not worry though, you are doing amazingly so far! Take your time if you need to.
