Okay, so. We all know this part of the Genocide run, right? You go fight Papyrus, and when you kill him, he says he still believes you can do better.
This is the one part of the game that made me cry. And yet, here’s some art for that battle.

This is actually an open collab from Stereotypical Orange. I’m not sure if they meant it to be Genocidal, but that’s how I coloured it.
First, here’s the original lineart.

I ended up changing this a bit, as you’ll see. But it’s still very obviously the same picture.
Here it is after colouring and with a background.

I wanted it to look like you were just entering the fight. I think I accomplished that.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted it to look like originally. I spent an hour and a half working on it, then changed my mind and did something else.
———
Progress shots and stuff.
What I did first was trace the original piece, to make the lines thinner. I can’t show you a picture though, as the lines are white, and aren’t visible.

Coloured the scarf red.

The armour is an off white, so it stands out a bit more from the head.

His glove is darker red, with gold at the bottom. His arm is black.

His head is mostly white, with black for the eye sockets and nose bit, and grey for the eyebrows and other details.
Why do we draw them with eyebrows? They’re skeletons. They wouldn’t have any.

Added some shading. Pretty simple.

The black line thing. It comes with IbisPaint X, so I’m making use of it.

Here’s the background without Papyrus.
Because you killed him
Not the most exciting background ever, but that’s okay.

And my signature.
———
I made it in IbisPaint X. I spent about 2 1/2 hours on it, but I changed my mind halfway through.
And that’s my colouring.
...
I have nothing else to say, so, bye.
