The first two weeks of June were hot so I thought of this then the weather turned
cold qhen I had all the ingredients!
But ate this last bowl when the sun returned after a long hot bike ride :sunny: :sunglasses:
I had some good ripe organic tomatoes and a cucumber in my veg box- I bought sweet peppers also added half a courgette.
Recipe I followed

Delicious refreshing soup :yum:

Topped with toasted organic turmeric bread- found this in the Co-op down the road- they have some very good local made breads - at a price but as usual got it half price at the end of the day
May the warm weather return soon

The fields with grass picture is very pretty
Looks delicious!🥰 :yum: :sunglasses: we can send some of the scorching heat from the Pacific Northwest “across the pond” to you, if you’d like… we don’t mind sharing some of the sizzle!! :fire: 🥵 :sunny:

Wow that is hot! I am surprised its hotter to the North than the South 🤔. I didn't know it got so hot there, or is it a freak event?. Hope its better when you go 🤞.

It’s definitely a freak event, the Pacific Northwest is usually about 24-27C right now and stays around that temp throughout the summer, with occasional rise to 33-36C. About 75-80% of the folks do not have air conditioning because it’s not been necessary up till now, so they are really suffering as all the heat records are broken with no relief in sight. Climate change is real, and it’s heartbreaking :broken_heart: :pensive: 🥵

I don't think I have ever experienced temps in the 40s- be like an oven and difficult to work or sleep. Hope it cools off very soon. Climate is going crazy. Our weather is even less predictable but we don't get extreme highs and lows that other countries have to deal with or very strong storms. I was hot on my bike today and a bit of humidity made me sweat- it was around 21°C !!
