she is the “adopted” daughter of the elder tree, the last living tree in the forest, an acre of land her family owns, outside her city. she protects him and ensures the city cannot encroach on their land. when she is very young she plants a bunch of tree sprouts, flowers, bushes, etc & her bio parents help her w the upkeep of the forest until she is old enough to tend to it herself. her parents give up on caring for it because nothing they plant survives so she takes on caring for the forest alone
flash forward she meets the daughter of the mayor in some disney esque way & she helps the mc procure a special fertilizer. they become friends yadda yadda that’ll be her love interest I think. one day they visit the forest and see a sproutling. I’m sure they sing a song or two about it & though the mayors daughter isn’t too pleased about the forest she helps anyway
flash forward again shes a young adult, the fertilizer expedites the growing process & the sprout grew into a tiny tree, along with a few other trees, flowers, and bushes. The elder tree starts acting brand new now that he’s been given some lively soil and a new daughter & begins spending all his time w her
& the viewer will see the daughter tree & the elder tree as the villain, bc they’re rejecting the person that cares for them and made that small patch of land into an actual forest with flora and fauna. she dedicated her entire childhood to the forest & doesn’t have any other friends
and then boom she lights the whole forest on fire plot twist shes the villain
or something like that maybe she’s an elf or maybe instead of the mayor’s daughter her love interest is a volunteer firefighter and instead of lighting the forest on fire she finds a different fertilizer that kills them off or maybe she chops down the elder tree or the daughter
