I’ve never read it but wanted to for ages!! Is it a worthwhile read?
I would say so!!! It’s the first book I’ve finished this year after starting many. The writing is just beautiful

I thought about it some more today and her motivations do make sense. When Kuang pointed out how Altan dud to the Nikara people exactly what Rin proposed in her strategy class her first year. She always had that ruthlessness and that desire to win over anything else which I guess she channeled into revenge
Not that you asked but I am sharing with you anyway lol

I appreciate you coming back and sharing your thoughts. it's very welcomed !
I would agree with that, yeah. Rin has always been willing to do the most to achieve whatever she wants. like, it shouldn't have been possible for her to enroll into that school, but she did it anyway. it shouldn't have been possible for her to make it as far as she did, but here she is. Despite the odds stacked against her, Rin moves forward. she doesn't know how to stay still. I would probably say it's because she would hate to have someone have power over her again, which motivates her will to win.
