People chasing such worthless dreams

Not noticing that it's bigger than it seems

Such a mixed up relationship with yourself

Wanting attention over your mental health

Putting themselves in emotional anguish

Validation is addictive so they put on different faces

I watch as they burn they own self on a stake

Causing more suffering in their own grave

Immediately doing bidding without a bother

The thing that they want is another mind's honor

Switching up their characters, switching up their lines

Just to get a bit more of anyone's time

Person A doesn't even what they said

But in B's mind, it's engraved in their head

Desperation sinks through when their spotlight is over

They once had character that shined way over

Now their true selves has been crushed and runned over

What made them human is now over

Taking sight in the reflection of yourself, who do you see?

And they realize that can't see past the people pleasing means

They want, they need the show to keep on going

As the dignity for themselves just keeps on lowing

Yes they set their value under others

Treating everyone's opinions like it's their mother

Such a horrible, a immense, a grieving mistake

They don't know who they are at the end of the day
