to my first friend i ever had
who wrote the timeless melancholy
of salt and sand
who taught me to embrace my inner self
my first confidant, my first matching ocs
wherever you are today
i hope that you’re happy
to the woman who is filled with sunshine
magic, fire, ion
on a Sunday afternoon
you filled my heart with gratefulness and love
she to whom the world has never been kind
but still finds a way to be the light
i think of you always
i hope you never change
to the one filled with so much spunk
who is navigating this life
at the beat of her own drum
she who takes what she’s handed and molds it
into something new and worthwhile
i read your letters every so often
as a reminder that there are good people out there
you’ll always be one of them
part one of my thank yous to some of my internet best friends i’ve had over the years. these three were my first and closest. i’ve been on this app for nine years, it had a huge effect on who i grew to be. so did they. if you happen to come online and see this, thank you for the time we spent together. i’ll never forget you.

This is really beautiful Terra; it reads like a poem and a letter at the same time. As a reader, it made me ire the women in this without even knowing who they are, which is really amazing!
