don'т over deтaιl
I woke up and went to my wardrobe. I put on my favorite tribal print leggings I got at Macy's. I also put on my simple linen white shirt I got from JC Penny. I then put on my black over shirt which was soft and made of cotton. I got that one from (insert another store here).
That got annoying, right? You don't need to know everything about it.
don'т υnder deтaιl
I woke up, got dressed for my date, and left.
What's she wearing? You can't answer that. But, this one is a little more lenient. If you're summarizing the whole date too, fine. But you shouldn't.

When writing, know what you're writing about. Know what your plot is. Know how it'll end. Also, know physical details. Don't write about something you know nothing about, like a historical event. Do the research.

Be careful, and watch what you write. Look for plot holes, repetition of words, and clichés. Nobody likes these things. They're super annoying.
vocaвυlary
When writing, use a broad vocabulary. Thesauruses help a ton.
ғιrѕт perѕon
When writing first person, go into lots of detail about feelings the character has, like in this:
She brushed her hand across my face. She whispered into my ear, "I love you." In that shy voice of hers. I was so emberrased, I had no idea how to respond. I didn't love her back, and it hurt so bad.
тнιrd perѕon
Narrators are allowed to have opinions on things, too, you know? If you wanted to write:
Daniel bumped into the other car while playing his favorite racing game. Novice mistake, if you ask me.
Then go ahead. You do you. I will too, I always do.
тaкe noтeѕ
If you think a quote from a character will be important later in your novel, write it down or highlight it. You don't want to have to go back and find it every time you use it.
oхғord coммa
If you're gonna use the Oxford comma, use it the whole piece. If not, don't use it the whole piece. Personally, I prefer the Oxford comma, because, "Lettuce, (pause) tomato, (pause) and bacon (end)," sounds worse without the comma.
вreaк тнe мold
If you want to start a sentence with "but," do it. But, don't tell your teacher I said that.
pay aттenтιon
When you look at something, look at it like a writer. For instance, when you look at a forest, do you see a bunch of trees? That's simple mindedness. Look at it a different way. Look at how the trees create shadows, and how the ground is covered with pine needles. Read from an author's point of view, too. See what the authors do with their words.
вe dedιcaтed
Finally, show that you love what you're writing. Don't write just for money. Write for yourself, and what you want to write about. If you lose dedication to something you're writing about, it will show.
