Chipmunk is officially just mush and bone. After assaulting my nostrils with a pungent odor of disgustingness, he is laying in the sun to dry out a bit.
I might speed up the process a tad and sink the container he’s in in a tub of warm water to dislodge his mush from the container and clean the bones off. I just gotta mentally and physically prepare for that cause. God damn.
This is my very first time doing any vulture culture with a fully intact animal and my nose is very sensitive to bad smells so I’m still very squeamish. But I’m doing it. And I’m giving the boy a good afterlife where he’ll be loved and adored so it feels good.
Just gotta get over this part.
