The Taliban, hard line religious extremists who back their beliefs with bullets. The Irish Republican Army, unstoppable urban guerillas who lead a bloody savage war for Irish independence. WHO.......IS...DEADLIEST?! To find out,my team and I analyze the history, tactics, weapons and armor of our warriors. Using the unlimited sources of the internet we'll see what happens when the two warriors go head to head. No rules,no safety,no mercy. It's a duel to the death to decide who is.........the deadliest warrior.

The final episode of deadliest warrior(sort of) and this one has been memed on so much I don't know why. This fight makes sense as it's between two terrorist groups who fight in their home country but regardless I'm gonna dive into this match and see what I can do.

Disclaimer:before I begin I wish to clarify this once and only once whoever I choose to win doesn't mean I'm ing them and the same goes for when I look at seasons 2 and 3. I do not terrorists nor will I ever I do not care about ing ideologies we are simply doing a clean match to see who wins in a fight.

Taliban vs IRA-The Taliban, hard line religious extremists who back their beliefs with bullets. The Irish Republican Army, unst

I think I can say that without a doubt, the taliban is the most well known terrorist group known to exist but everything has a origin so how was the taliban created and what was their motive to begin with?

The Taliban is a Sunni Islamist nationalist and pro-Pashtun movement founded in the early 1990s that ruled most of Afghanistan from 1996 until October 2001. The movement’s founding nucleus—the word “Taliban” is Pashto for “students”—was composed of peasant farmers and men studying Islam in Afghan and Pakistani madrasas, or religious schools. The Taliban found a foothold and consolidated their strength in southern Afghanistan.

By 1994, the Taliban had moved their way through the south, capturing several provinces from various armed factions who had been fighting a civil war after the Soviet-backed Afghan government fell in 1992. By September 1996, the Taliban had captured Kabul, killed the country’s president, and established the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The Taliban’s first move was to institute a strict interpretation of Qur‘anic instruction and jurisprudence. In practice, this meant often merciless policies on the treatment of women, political opponents of any type, and religious minorities.

In the years leading up to the 11 September 2001 attacks in the United States, the Taliban provided a safe haven for al-Qa‘ida. This gave al-Qa‘ida a base in which it could freely recruit, train, and deploy terrorists to other countries. The Taliban held sway in Afghanistan until October 2001, when they were routed from power by the US-led campaign against al-Qa‘ida.

In arguably the most significant development in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region since the May 2011 death of al-Qa‘ida founder Usama Bin Ladin, the Taliban in July 2015 revealed that its reclusive leader, Mullah Mohammed Omar, had died in 2013. Omar, who was the president of Afghanistan during the Taliban’s rule and a major Bin Ladin er, was wanted by the US Government through the Rewards for Justice program. Mullah Akhtar Mohammed Mansur, who was Omar’s second-in-command, in early August 2015 was selected as the new Taliban leader. Mansur is only the second leader that the group has ever had.

The Afghan Taliban are responsible for most insurgent attacks in Afghanistan, which follow an established pattern of regular low-level ambush and hit-and-run attacks, coupled with periodic high-profile attacks. The Taliban have been moving aggressively in many parts of the country, evidenced by the fact that suicide and complex attacks increased by 78 percent countrywide in the first six months of 2015 compared with the same period in 2014. The Taliban between 7 and 10 August 2015 conducted a series of attacks in quick succession in Kabul that resulted in at least 60 deaths, marking the deadliest stretch in the capital since the US-led invasion in 2001. In the first attack, a suicide bomber detonated a large truck bomb in a residential area while attempting to target an Afghan Defense Ministry building, killing 15 civilians and wounding up to 400 others. On its own, the explosion caused an unprecedented number of casualties from a single attack in the capital in recent years—the Taliban is widely suspected of having conducted the attack although they did not claim responsibility for it because of the massive civilian casualties. Less than 24 hours later, over 40 cadets and civilians were killed when a suicide bomber dressed in police uniform blew himself up at the entrance of Kabul Police Academy. Later that day a Taliban squad targeted Resolute Mission installation Camp Integrity, killing at least nine, including one NATO serviceman. On 10 August a Taliban suicide bomber plowed a car into a checkpoint near the entrance to Kabul International Airport, killing at least 5 and wounding 15.

Ever since the Taliban was created, they've gotten their hands on a plethora of firearms and explosives more specifically soviet Era arms that are still found throughout Afghanistan.

As of right now in 2025 as far as I can tell there are 62 entries on each of the Taliban’s weapons.

First there's the Beretta M9,FN GP35 a Browning High Power Pistol,Browning M2,AAI M203 a Colt rifle,Colt M16A2,Colt M1911,Colt M4,Colt M4A1 SOPMOD,Degtyarev DMP LMG,Degtyarev PTRD 1941,Dragonov SVD,DShK Model 1938,Enfield L1A1 SLR,F1 Hand Grenade,Fabrinque Nationale FN FAL,Fabrinque Nationale M240,Fabrinque Nationale M249 SAW,FEG AK-63,Glock 17,Glock 19,Improvised Explosive Device,Izhmash RPK,Kalashnikov AK-47,Kalashnikov AK-74,Kalashnikov AKM,Kalashnikov AKMS,Kalashnikov AKS,Kalashnikov PKM,M26(lemon Grenade),M67 Grenade,Makarov PM,Mk 2 Pineapple Grenade,Norinco Type 67,Norinco type 77,Nori type 85,PPS-42,PPSh-41,PSL,RPG-2,RPG-26,RPG-7,Simonov PTRS 1941,Simonov SKS,Tokarev SVT-38,Tokarev STV-40,Tokarev TT-33,Vickers-Berthier and the Walther P99.

I did say the taliban had 62 weapons but I left out some out because some are anti tank weapons and anti armor weapons, those will not be necessary against the IRA since they won't be using tanks and they don't even wear armor.

Oh another thing,I found out they got Bolt Action Rifles but I'm not giving that to the taliban simply because in the present day, bolt action rifles aren't used for combat anymore.

Taliban vs IRA-The Taliban, hard line religious extremists who back their beliefs with bullets. The Irish Republican Army, unst

What is the Irish Republican Army? Well this is a group that I had no knowledge of until I got older and up until last year but who are they?

The IRA was created in 1919 as a successor to the Irish Volunteers, a militant nationalist organization founded in 1913. The IRA’s purpose was to use armed force to render British rule in Ireland ineffective and thus to assist in achieving the broader objective of an independent republic, which was pursued at the political level by Sinn Féin, the Irish nationalist party. From its inception, however, the IRA operated independently of political control and in some periods actually took the upper hand in the independence movement. Its hip overlaps with that of Sinn Féin.

During the Anglo-Irish War (Irish War of Independence, 1919–21) the IRA, under the leadership of Michael Collins, employed guerrilla tactics—including ambushes, raids, and sabotage—to force the British government to negotiate. The resulting settlement established two new political entities: the Irish Free State, which comprised 26 counties and was granted dominion status within the British Empire; and Northern Ireland, made up of six counties and sometimes called the province of Ulster, which remained part of the United Kingdom. These , however, proved unacceptable to a substantial number of IRA . The organization consequently split into two factions, one (under Collins’s leadership) ing the treaty and the other (under Eamon de Valera) opposing it. The former group became the core of the official Irish Free State Army, and the latter group, known as “Irregulars,” began to organize armed resistance against the new independent government.

The ensuing Irish civil war (1922–23) ended with the capitulation of the Irregulars; however, they neither surrendered their arms nor disbanded. While de Valera led a portion of the Irregulars into parliamentary politics with the creation of Fianna Fáil in the Irish Free State, some remained in the background as a constant reminder to successive governments that the aspiration for a united republican Ireland—achieved by force if necessary—was still alive. Recruiting and illegal drilling by the IRA continued, as did intermittent acts of violence. The organization was declared illegal in 1931 and again in 1936. After a series of IRA bombings in England in 1939, Dáil Éireann (the lower house of the Oireachtas, the Irish parliament) took stringent measures against the IRA, including provision for internment without trial. The IRA’s activities against the British during World War II severely embarrassed the Irish government, which remained neutral. At one point the IRA sought assistance from Adolf Hitler to help remove the British from Ireland. Five IRA leaders were executed, and many more were interned.

After the withdrawal of Ireland from the British Commonwealth in 1949, the IRA turned its attention to agitating for the unification of the predominantly Roman Catholic Irish republic with predominantly Protestant Northern Ireland. Sporadic incidents occurred during the 1950s and early ’60s, but lack of active by Catholics in Northern Ireland rendered such efforts futile. The situation changed dramatically in the late 1960s, when Catholics in Northern Ireland began a civil rights campaign against discrimination in voting, housing, and employment by the dominant Protestant government and population. Violence by extremists against the demonstrators—unhindered by the mostly Protestant police force (the Royal Ulster Constabulary)—set in motion a series of escalating attacks by both sides. Units of the IRA were organized to defend besieged Catholic communities in the province and were sustained by from units in Ireland. In 1970 two of the Fianna Fáil government in Ireland, including future prime minister Charles Haughey, were tried for importing arms for the IRA; they subsequently were acquitted.

The IRA has a wide assortment of firearms and explosives.

In of firearms, the IRA has a assortment of handguns, rifles,Assault Rifles, sub machine guns, shotguns, and Grenade launchers.

For handguns the IRA use Browning High Power Pistols,Luger P08,Ma C96,Webley Revolver,M1911,Taurus PT92,and Glock 17.

For Rifles they used M1 Carbine,M1 Garand,AR-15,AR-180,L1A1 Self Loading Rifle,FN FAL,SKS,Remington Model 742,Roger Mini-14,Preetz Model 65,Valmet M62/S,Gewehr 43,Beretta BM 59,FN Model 1949,M14,M1A,Stgw.Stewart. 57,Heckler & Koch G3.

The Assault Rifles they used were M16,AK-47,Vz. 58,SIG SG 540,CAR-15 Commando,FN CAL,FN FNC,PM md. 63,AN-94.

The sub machine guns that the IRA used was the Beretta M12.

The IRA carried different kinds if explosives they carried different grenades such as the MK2,M67,F-1 and RDG-5 they also had their own Improvised Explosive Device by using things like ANFO,Gelignite,Goma-2 and Semtex.

The only Grenade launchers the IRA had was the M79.

Last but not least the IRA has 3 different flamethrower but I will only give them one and that just so happens to be the M2 flamethrower.

Now that we got everything we need which terrorist group actually wins this fight? Many would vote for the taliban due to the fact they have greater resources and the fact they took over most of Afghanistan but in a squad on squad battle I'm giving this to the IRA due to them using better guerilla tactics in urban locations and since I'm not giving either groups any anti firearms when it comes to regular firearms and explosives both have a excellent choice. The IRA have the edge with rifles and assault rifles while the Taliban have the edge in their RPG's since those are their favorite weapons to use. Both use the same grenades but they differ in their Improvised Explosive Devices. Both are equal with their handguns. And last but not least the IRA have their flamethrower which would definitely work in their favor if used right. I can see either one winning but I'm going to give this to the IRA.

Our simulation has set up a scenario:a group of Taliban are set to Ireland to infiltrate. The IRA were informed of the talibans arrival and sends a squad to take them out. A battle of two terrorists is about to clash but only one group will be victorious.
