she was a loud girl. she was naive and social, finding unique ways to have a more easier approach to things. however, she was a mystery. sometimes the girl would fall into silence or walk off suddenly from her friends. it was always as if she could hear a frequency emitting from people's minds.

most of the time he would notice when she would hurriedly walk out of class while clamping her nose or wiping her eyes.

she was one of his best friends, and although he knew the girl like the back of his hand, he also didn't know her very well at all - much like everyone else.

a lot of the time, he would find himself furrowing his eyebrows in curiosity and sympathy when he watched her sit down and focus on one place in the classroom, her glowing eyes gone dull.

the girl could laugh for hours a day or smile at him from across the room, but then hold a cold face five minutes later - as if she had forgotten about what had happened. she acted aloof to everyone when she wasn't speaking, and seemed to never initiate conversations when in this systematic mode. perhaps it was an unnatural instinct, developing from a certain repetitive situation in the past.

he missed her when she was in that state of loneliness.

he could stare into her eyes whenever they were talking and only be able to meet her eyes once or twice for split seconds. she would always shift her gaze away but curve the corners of her lips upwards, like she wanted to say something but hesitated every time she had the chance.

then, one day, she finally let go of hesitation for what she wanted to say to him.

the girl was speaking too fast for her words to catch up to her tongue, but her eyes were meeting his. emotion was spilling from her lungs and he could hear the tears building up in her eyes from the cracks in her voice. the girl's hands were trembling uncontrollably while her lips were chapped by the lack of moisture reaching her lips during the small gaps between her words.

"..i when i first saw your spirit it was happy. the more time you spent with me i noticed the more troubled it looked and i could feel the low frequency more frequently the longer i was around you. i felt guilty."

she finished, drying her damp eyelashes. he had nothing to say, but watched as she froze up and slowly began to look up. he didn't let her say a word, jumping from his seat in the empty classroom and clamping his arms tightly around her shoulders and breathing heavily.

"please don't be guilty anymore.." his voice was low and sad, and he leaned his chin on her shoulder for a few seconds more before pulling away.

he loved her.
