What I Like The Intersectional Feminism and understand between all the girls
Dislike That Mitchell and his father didn't get whst they deserved
Would I Recommend It? Yes! Quicker than the speed of sound

Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu is the true definition of intersectional feminism and truly captivating writing. Jennifer Mathieu managed to keep me interested, yet infuriated throughout the ENTIRE BOOK! The characters had me near tears, on the edge of anger and so close to starting my own movement through a zine.

This book is about a teenage girl, Vivian who lives in East Rockport, Texas. Vivian knows East Rockport High School isn't only sexist towards its girl students, but also unfairly handling the problems the girls present the school staff with. So, Vivian being inspired by her mom's Riot Grrrl days decides she's gonna change stuff at her school by starting a zine that's name Moxie.

With each zine Vivian makes, with each week that es, you can physically feel through the book the unity and silent understanding the girls- no the young ladies of East Rockport High School have for each other. The immature games and insults the boys around the halls, are not only shockingly accurate depiction of boys today, even the response the adults gave young boys was accurate of how most people let boys believe girls don't deserve their respect.

This book is amazing and showed the flaws in the original Riot Grrrls movement. At times I did find Vivian to be a bit dramatic and worried too much of what her friends thought. But living in a small town with the same people all her life could've played a part in that.

I loved this book! I highly recommend this to every person who needs to know that the future can be better. Jennifer Mathieu now has a new fan!
