So it’s been a minute, but here’s Izo’s Introductory. It took me a minute to figure out the way I wanted to take this unique and interesting character but I think this set up helps push this character into the direction I’m in picturing for him. This character was originally created by none other than a really close friend of mine Gen. So here he is, hope you guys are ready for Baton next. Should be fun.

Izo’s Introductory

Izo had a family that liked to associate with quite a number of villains. They managed to make multiple connections and many allies. They had a bit of a reputation for having the last name Akuma. Having the name that usually stood for fire demon did have a nice ring to it. Unfortunately for Izo, his family never cared for his importance in it all. They had a certain characteristic to them, how would one put it? Well they were a bunch of arrogant assholes. This family branches out from Izo’s parents to cousins alike. There was quite a number of them. And at the head of the family name stood Izo’s parents Onyx and Ariza Akuma. They made contributions to certain villain agencies and continued to make a profit and use the resources they were granted to get whatever they wanted. Izo stood more for a sense of pride and valor, of his own accord of course. Izo didn’t appreciate the greed and arrogance his parents and the rest of his wretched family had to offer. He didn’t really care for their approval in all honesty, he just wanted to show how much better he was compared to them all. Izo knew deep down that his principals and lifestyle sured theirs ten fold. The longer Izo stayed with his family though, the more he despised them. The more he wished for their defeat.

However, there was an upside to his awful family. He got free training lessons involving his power and hand to hand combat. They were tough and vigorous, but the result was worth a little pain. Izo found himself tough, vigilant, determined, and strong at the age of 17. Thanks to all his training, and all his practice he was really built and ready for almost anything. But in the same sense, he felt lost, and confused about his place in this God forsaken society. At times like this, Izo usually went out on a walk.

So after a long morning of slouching around Izo decided to walk out on his own. He enjoyed these wandering walks of his, especially if it rained. He enjoyed the sense of being one with nature, all the water propelling him and surrounding him. It was as if he was in the ocean and glided on land. But he also hated it. He hated the water droplets hitting only him reminding him of his nature to be alone. When he went out on these careless and never ending walks he would always notice something off with his family when he got back. As if they were hiding something from him. As if they were plotting against him. Izo thought it could just be his own paranoia pushing against him but even his older sister started acting differently for the past couple of weeks when he got home from his routine walk. Maybe they were planning something for his birthday? As to his knowledge they never did anything before, but granted he was turning 18 this time. Izo couldn’t exactly, but maybe there was some sort of ceremony for his “coming of age”.

There was supposedly this whole ceremony about Izo being the heir to the agency when his parents ed, but Izo wasn’t all too interested. He figured he would just let his parents know when the time was right. Besides, it wasn’t as if they’d force him to on his 18th birthday. It made sense then that was what the secrecy was all about. They were going to force Izo to start acting like the proper heir he’s supposed to be.

Izo groaned as he started walking back realizing that’s what was going on. He didn’t want any part in their so called legacy and reputation. He just wanted to live and find his own purpose. Be his own self, not conform to their ideal image of a perfect heir of a son. When Izo came back he noticed that all eyes were on him. He didn’t express a lot of care. He said hi to his sister and went to his room. He had an old and busted up MP3 player that he had found a few years back   that he ended up fixing and putting back together. He listened to some older music that resonated with his emotions. He fell asleep soundly to the music he enjoyed.

A few weeks later finally came the day. Izo’s 18th birthday. Izo knew this day was coming, so he went downstairs to confront this whole issue head on after getting dressed and prepared to sit down with his core family and talk all this out.

However, when Izo went downstairs no one was there.

“Oh real nice. A proper birthday surprise, right?” Izo said out loud a bit annoyed as he looked around for them.

Izo searched the bedrooms and the training area but to his surprise no one was there. The house was deserted.

“What the hell?” Izo said to himself as he finally decided to get fully dressed and made his way outside in search of them all.

However when he did walk outside he stretched his arms as he closed his eyes walking out the door. When he opened his eyes there standing in silence was not only the core family , but all of his cousins, aunts, uncles, and even his grandparents. Just standing there around the front of the house staring at Izo. Staring and standing in complete silence. Izo observed the formation and looked at everyone, taken back a bit by the actual birthday surprise, he simply said.

“Uhmm… hi?” Izo asked.

There was more silence. Izo didn’t say anything after that, he just started to stretch his arms and legs some. Izo looked at them all observing their stances and postures. Before Izo could say or do anything after that his father of all people said calmly.

“...Kill him.”

Izo’s eyes widen some to these words. He thought they would try and pin him, or force him to take an oath. He didn’t understand if this was just a test or if he had misheard his father. Before he could even get a response one of his older cousins ran after him throwing a gust of fire towards his legs hoping to tackle or trip him.

Izo fortunately jumped in the air avoiding the attack all together. Izo took a stance as he punched his cousin with a fireball to the face in retaliation. The other cousins saw this attack and immediately pulled out their knives and daggers. Izo was shocked that his family would actually use lethal force like a move of all things. He noticed that they were singeing their weapons. They were actually aiming to kill Izo for real. This was Izo’s first actual indication that he couldn’t take on these advanced fighters with no weapon and just his wits. He went to turn around and ask his father a question before a knife was thrown cutting a huge gash across his right shoulder.

“Ahh!” Izo barked out as he looked at the others. He winced at the pain but ignored it as he put his hands up looking to dodge or attempt to catch the other weapons. They surrounded him from the beginning so he needed a way to get out of their circle formation. Before he could give his escape another thought the knives were being thrown. One knife cut his jeans as it sliced by. Another cutting a hole in his as he dodged. If they missed the person across from them snatched the knife in the air and immediately threw it back. Izo was trapped in a circle of knife throwing. Izo had no other choice, he threw down an evaporated fire blast from his hands that in return created a mist of smoke. Izo ran for the nearest hole, he went for what he thought was the youngest cousin before getting close lined by his father himself.

“...pathetic.” His father said as Izo fell to the ground as he tried to get up before getting kicked in the side by his mother. Izo took a knife to the back that was thrown by none other than his sister. He gasped in pain as he just started running.

His family started running after him. Izo running for his life with a knife in his back and multiple cut wounds from the previous singed knives that were thrown at him. He couldn’t beat the vast number of them in one go. He needed to refocus and think of a plan. He ended up running for it in the woods. If anybody knew the woods out of their whole family, it would be Izo. Izo trained there on his own when the lessons didn’t cut it and that was his go to walk area. He created more by black smoke in his direction hoping to create some sort of misdirection from his family.

It worked for a few of them but Izo needed to get out of there. There’s no way he could get out of there without them eventually capturing him. Izo heard a train’s horn go off and ed the train tracks nearby. He knew that as long as he could make it to that train, he could have a moment to gather himself. Before he knew it, an arrow was shot into his back and the point was through his rib cage still burning. He grimaced in pain but held back the yell in order to keep his location more secretive. Hearing nothing but a group of rustling leaves from behind was terrifying enough but now he could hear the swift movements of arrows being shot in his direction. He knew there were a few archers in his family but he didn’t expect them to go all out like this. Izo didn’t understand all of this, but it’s not like it mattered he would be dead in a matter of minutes if he wasn’t careful.

Izo struggled but managed to make it to the train before noticing the giant gap between him and the train. It was the Abnormal Abyss. This giant abyss stood in his way of a chance of freedom. At least a chance of survival. Izo could hear his family closing in as he took a few steps back and sprinted off the edge of the abyss and used everything in his body to blast him off to the other side. For a solid minute there, he was flying on thin air. He was gliding on the air as he made it to the other side. Unfortunately he landed on the arrow that was still dislodged in his chest. He yelled in pain, he couldn’t hold this one in, the arrow also broke aggressively from his fall. It was nothing but pain and agony as he crawled around the ground to recover. He pulled the rest of the arrow out of his back after the tip was broken off. It was gut wrenching an gg stung like a giant needle being pulled out of his body. He managed to get up and looked across to the other side to see all his family staring at him.

He clenched his fists and after finding a way to ignore that pain once more he looked at them all with an intensity in his eyes, body covered in blood and dirt from the ground. Clothes completely trashed, and his body wounded like never before. Izo stared them all down with intention and determination set in his eyes. His aura carried nothing more than a fiery fluster of emotions. He stood tall and proud at his family and got up on the train as he looked at his family who did nothing but stare at him as he left. They all knew this wouldn’t be the last time they all encountered one another. Izo carried himself inside as he collapsed onto the ground of the train’s cargo cart and began to clean himself up to the best of his ability. He made bandages with his clothing and was beyond furious about the situation he was stuck in but traveled on the train to anywhere that could assist him on this new profound journey.

Izo’s Introductory-[CI]So it’s been a minute, but here’s Izo’s Introductory. It took me a minute to figure out the way I want
