HT and KC Recruitment! [Open!]

I'm here today to inform you that Kakariko Chronicles and Hyrule Times are recruiting for multiple positions (art, writing, editing)!! Interested? Read on!

who are we?

Kakariko Chronicles have both been around since 2016. They're weekly magazines that are posted once a week. HT is on Tuesday and KC is on Thursday. You've probably seen our issues at the top of the featured feed on those days. I've linked both of the s if you'd like to preview some of our issues!

Both groups contain a lovely family setting where we sometimes just chat or have fun with one another! Despite being a magazine, there are plenty of times where we just casually chat and have fun!

what would a writer and editor do? + open positions

For Hyrule Times, you will be writing an article based off of a theme that we pick every week. We discuss a theme and articles to go with it and you claim an article based on what looks appealing to you! These are are analysis based articles based off of things within the Legend of Zelda series.

For Kakariko Chronicles, it's the same setup but different articles. We discuss a theme and you choose what you want to write based off of that theme and you can pick when you want to write. However, you will be applying for certain segments which I will list below.

For both groups, as an editor, you'll be creating banners or a cover for the issue. A cover template is provided, while banners are more open ended. Even though this is a weekly thing, you'll probably be editing twice a month, as there is a rotation to give people a chance for breaks

KC's open segments are:

• Front Page News - this one does NOT have to follow the theme. Whoever does this section will just be featuring some writing/news throughout the community from the past week!

• Art - this one is simple. Just drawing art for the issue. You do NOT need to make art every single week. But it does follow the theme

• Let's Talk - an interview based section where you will be interviewing someone in the community about our theme!

• Ordona's Opinions - an opinion based segment where you will find a topic based on the theme and give your intake (ex. "Is the water temple the hardest Zelda dungeon?")

• Theory Corner - pretty self explanatory! Coming up with a theory and backing it up with claims, also based on the theme

• Zelda's Lullabies - you will be taking a musical piece from the Zelda series based on the theme and giving an analysis on it!

• Life Lessons - this one is pretty simple. You will take some things from the series and create...well...a life lesson out of it! Such as saying how ______ in Zelda shows the idea of friendship and so on.
