My plans this year

The last two years have been focusing on the Hellenic path with first honoring and celebrating the holidays, then working more with the pantheon. I’ve since updated my bio with a revised list of Greek deities I work with/honor.

This year is going to be the same but with the Roman path. I will be mainly focusing on the holidays for the year and then taking it from there. I use this calendar for keeping up with holidays

And I created a sims house for celebrating the holidays as well. Sort of an online version, especially if I can’t celebrate the holiday at my house as I still live at home and have to sneak it around. I styled the house in the form of a Roman house. And I also made an outfit to wear for the holidays.

What I love about doing this is, is there is an option to put in your own holidays with specific goals. Here is an example:

What I don’t like about it, is if the holiday coincides with other holidays in the calendar, it won’t let you add it. But for those that are closeted, this could be a fun alternative. This house and sims also doubles as another activity for the Hellenic pantheon, however, I do have specific families for certain deities as a devotional act.

Other plans this year

I have started learning Greek and while I don’t believe I’ll be fluent by the end of the year, I’d like to be fluent enough to understand some texts so I can recite hymns.

I also plan on being more proactive in my road to priesthood. I have this book that I’ve been reading so I’m doing more self stuff until I need to get verified…I’m not quite sure how that works so if someone knows more about becoming a priestess, I’d love any info you have on that subject.

On the less magic-side of things, I plan on learning on keeping my space clutter-free and more organized to clean. However, I’m not much of that type of person and it’s hard to be motivated in the winter months to even start cleaning. But as I honor Lady Hestia, I feel bad having a room looking like every known natural disaster hit. :joy:

Not sure if I’ll be doing much magic rituals this year as I’m pretty busy with college as this is my second year and I’d like to keep up my As. So, this year will be more researching, recognizing holidays, and learning Greek mainly. I may look into a ritual to do for motivation if trying to clean becomes too hard as I also plan on helping my mom clean the entire house.

But those are my plans this year, besides being more active again here in the community as I sort of fell off when college got too busy, I was stressing over financials, and this app was being glitchy on me.
