This is Kwami Buster with a twist...

What if Ms Mendeleiev was akumatized in the school?

What if Marinette's identity was revealed when her kwami was taken from her?

Small season 3 spoilers of Kwami Buster (nothing major about the episode, just a few dialogues)

"Go ahead and run away but I have proof of my great scientific discovery." Ms Mendeleiev smirked to herself as she carefully removed the camera from the wall. She scrunched up the tape and threw it in the bin. Reaching for her cable she opened her laptop and connected the camera to it. After scrolling through a few files she clicked on the most recently filmed one; desperate to see the flying creatures and prove to everyone that she had made a spectacular scientific discovery.

Once the footage started playing her eyes darted around the screen; trying to catch a glimpse of them. Yet, they were nowhere in sight. The video simply showed her flailing around with a large net. She slammed the laptop screen down in frustration.

"How can these creatures do something so out of this world? I have to catch them to be able to prove they are real! And I will." She snarled; feeling her anger build up. She tugged the camera out of the laptop and slammed her fists on the table, glaring down at the wooden structure.

A small dark butterfly squeezed its way into the science lab; desperate to grant Ms Mendeleiev the powers she needed. As it touched the camera a flood of black covered it as the science teacher lifted her head up, overtook with the desire to find the kwamis.

"Kwami Buster, I am Hawkmoth. No one will believe what you saw, but I know they're out there and I'm here to help. These interdimensional creatures are called kwamis and I am giving you the power to capture them. In return you must bring me Ladybug and Chat Noir's magic jewels, their miraculous." Hawkmoth's voice echoed through her head as a pink glow flashed before her.

"You can count on me." A purple cloud surrounded her as she transformed into what you know as Kwami Buster.

The bell softly rang as the students packed away their supplies from their previous lesson. Marinette and Alya walked out of Miss Bustier's lesson and were heading to the art room. Before they had a chance to walk down the stairs a loud bang was heard below them. Marinette risked a glance down to see what the commotion was about. A new akumatized victim.

"I will capture those red and black kwamis and prove once and for all the magical creatures exist!"

Making yet another excuse to go transform she rushed away from her best friend. She opened a cubicle in the bathroom and locked the door behind her. Marinette grabbed her bag and forced Tikki to look at her.

"What's going on? Why is she trying to find you?"

"I can explain-" Tikki started talking but Marinette chimed in.

"I thought we didn't keep secrets from each other!" From their conversation the night before Tikki had made it clear they told each other everything, guess that was a lie aswell. Was there anything else she wsnt telling her, maybe she actually knew who Chat Noir was?

"I didn't want to bother you with kwami nonsense! Besides, I thought the problem had been resolved, Plagg promised he wouldn't eat any that magic cheese anymore!" Tikki pleaded with her master, desperate to explain herself.

"Wait a sec. If Plagg was there too that means that he was here in this school! Which means Chat Noir is a student at Francois Dupont High School just like me! And if I just figured this out then Chat Noir probably has figured out that I figured it out!" Marinette paced quietly in the small space whilst glancing at her kwami now and again.

"No no no, you know Plagg. He'll travel miles just to get his hands in some stinky cheese." Tikki let out a small laugh to try and distract Marinette, she didn't want to add more lies but if Adrien's identity was at risk then what else could the red kwami do?

"You see the problem is that I'm always going to be wondering whether you're lying to me or not." Marinette crossed her arms as Tikki lowered her head down.

"I'm so sorry Marinette." She whispered quietly.

"It's ok, I know you're trying to protect me. Come on, we have an akuma do de-evilise. Tikki, spots on!" Upon saying her transformation words a pink glow surrounded her; turning her into her alter ego.

Exiting the bathroom she tried to locate the akumatized villain. She searched around the whole school, opening each classroom, alerting students. As she made her way back to where she started a familiar black cat dropped down beside her.

"Hey M'Lady. Found them yet?" Ladybug simply shook her head.

"Looked everywhere. She's nowhere in sight." A few students approached the duo, obviously feeling after around superheroes. One being Alya.

"This will make an excellent scoop for my Ladyblog. Scoping out trouble with the dynamic duo first hand." She took out her phone and hit record. Ladybug rolled her eyes but didn't say anything. As long as Alya didn't put herself in trouble a small recording would be harmless.

A loud crash was suddenly heard; coming from Miss Bustier's room. The superheroes shared a worried glance as they followed the noise. At this point most of the students ran in the opposite direction, away from the crashes, but Alya continued to follow as she whispered into her phone's microphone.

"Alya, maybe you should go and hide somewhere. Leave this to us. We don't know what this villain is capable of." Ladybug tried her best to persuade Alya to go but Alya requested to stay. Not wanting to start a fight with her best friend she reluctantly nodded as they stood outside the classroom.

Ladybug peeked inside to see Kwami Buster. She was occupied with ruining the room. She had to have a plan, her simply trashing a room wasn't going to defeat them. Before Ladybug had a chance to tell Chat Noir that it was a trap to draw them in her had already barged into the room. Ladybug facepalmed as she went to face whatever Kwami Buster had planned.

"It's about time you showed up. Kwami Buster was getting a bit impatient. I know kwamis are real and I am here to prove it. This device is no match for your superpowers and your miraculous will be mine!" She aimed her vacuum and fired a beam at them. The heroes carefully doged each attack, not entirely sure what would happen if it actually hit them. Of course, Alya was still filming by the door. She hid out of sight from the villain so she wouldn't have any trouble to deal with.

However she quickly rushed away from the door as Kwami Buster threw Ladybug out into the open. The spotted hero collapsed on the floor as she struggled to stand up, arms shaking whilst she attempted to lift herself up. Kwami Buster simply laughed maliciously as she aimed the vacuum at the bluenette. Ladybug covered her face; expecting a massive impact. Yet, all that happened was a green glow surrounded her. Chat Noir rushed to her side but before he could reach her she could see pink sparkles running across her arms and legs. She glanced to her earrings and saw Tikki slowly emerge from one of them. She tried to grab her kwami but she was pulled away and into the vacuum Kwami Buster held.

The villain knocked Ladybug to the floor as her superhero costume became not more. Back in her civilian form she felt a lot weaker. A headache clouded her mind as she felt her vision go hazy. She couldn't black out, they were in the middle of a fight. That's when she realised something. She was in her civilian form. She had detransformed out in the open. Chat Noir knew who she was. Alya had more than likely recorded the whole thing. Well, this couldn't get any worse. She quickly felt for her earrings. At least she still had them.

A familiar black cat rushed down to her and crouched by her side.

"M-Marinette? Are you ok?" Marinette turned her gaze to her partner for a split second before ing the reason why they were here.

"I'm fine Chat. You need to defeat Kwami Buster. Find something to hold the akuma in until I can transform again. Chat Noir nodded and extended his baton to shield Mari from the supervillain. Once Mari had managed to crawl far enough away from the action Chat set about releasing the akuma.

After a well fought battle, the black cat had managed to cataclysm the vacuum before Kwami Buster would get a hit on him. As it disintegrated at his feet he quickly glanced around to find anything that the dark butterfly could stay in for the time being. He grabbed a glass bottle from the science lab and a chunk of cork; praying the akuma wouldn't be able to escape. As a purple shadow turned Ms Mendeleiev back into her normal self, Tikki zoomed towards Marinette where she transformed once again. Chat Noir threw her the container as she set about capturing the akuma. Once it had flown away she glanced nervously at her partner.

"So..." She looked down before continuing. "You know who I am. I'm pretty sure the whole of Paris will know now too." She peeked a look at Alya who was typing furiously on her phone.

"I guess it's not all that bad. Can I take you somewhere?"

"What about the mess? I didn't use my lucky charm so there's nothing to fix it with." She gestured to Miss Bustier's room which had been completely wrecked.

"Not our problem, now come on Bugaboo. It'll only take a minute." Chat grinned as Ladybug rolled her eyes. Finally agreeing they jumped from rooftop to rooftop. They landed on one roof in particular, Ladybug ed this roof from the time they fought Glaciator. From the time Ladybug broke the news about liking another boy

She leant against the railings as Chat smirked.

"Since I know your identity would it be so bad if you knew mine?" The question startled Ladybug as she avoided his gaze.

"Chat... you know you can't. Finding out mine anyway was a mistake. We'd be risking too much." Ladybug was turned away from her partner so she couldn't see how he was reacting to what she said.

"But just think about it-"

"Stop please, we can't. We don't know how the future will be affected." Ladybug hated ths conversation. Perhaps him knowing her identity was already a bigger risk then she knew. "I should go, you're about to transform back." She picked up her yoyo and was about to throw it onto a nearby building but Chat Noir grabbed her arm.

"You're right, as per usual. I guess I just felt guilty that I know who you are but not vice versa. I'll see you in school Mari." Before she could speak he lifted himself up using his stick and disappeared out of sight. 5 words played on her mind.

"I'll see you in school." Does that mean he goes to her school aswell, so she was right and her kwami had been lying once again. Ugh, she knew Tikki did have a good reason that time to lie since she didn't want his identity getting revealed. But even though she did know that still left a lot of possible boys that could be behind the mask.

Not wanting to dwell on it anymore she went to leave the rooftop when a light blue circle appeared in front of her. She stepped back slightly in shock as a familiar bunny stepped out.

"Minibug, we have a huge problem..."
