Lately there seems to be some confusion when it comes to using the feature nomination page. Hopefully with this blog I will be able to clear up any of the confusion.

How to nominate a blog

When it comes to nominating a blog it is important to use the correct format, like so:

Category:

Last Feature:

Reason for Nomination:

It is important to use this formatting because it keeps all the nominations organized and easy to go through. We receive a lot of nominations every day. Sometimes as many as 200 nominations a day. Using this format is extremely helpful for those on the feature team.

What is/isn't considered featurable

When going through nominated blogs we have to be sure they follow the guidelines per Amino's policy. That means we read every blog to be sure there is no triggering content, excessive violence, sexual content, or excessive language. If a blog contains any of these things, they are not considered featurable.

Spamming and what's considered spamming

Nominating a blog multiple times in a day is considered spamming. You can nominate a blog more than once, but please keep it to 2 times in a 24 hour period. Nominating the same blog multiple times in a row or multiple times within an hour is considered spamming. Not only does it clog up the nomination page, but once a nomination becomes spam it is no longer considered for a feature.

General Knowledge

Something I think is important for s to be aware of is that just because you don't get featured the day you nominated your blog, doesn't mean you *won't* get featured.

We try to keep a variety of content on the feature feed page because there are so many different kinds of ideas and blog styles. We also try to keep types of posts fairly spaced out. For example; we won't feature two fan arts in a row, or two fanfictions in a row. We'll feature a different type of b between to try and break up or add variety to the front page.

Which leads me to my next point

When going through the nomination page I'm checking blogs and reading them and saving them as I go. Many times I'll see a very well written blog about, let's say, Yoongi, for example, but that day there has already been 3-4 blogs featured that were centered around Yoongi. So, I will save that blog for a future feature. It may be featured the next day or the day after.

Using nontraditional fonts

Some s enjoy using different types of fonts in their blogs to create the aesthetic they wish to achieve for their blog. While this is completely fine, some fonts can be difficult to read for some s. When using nontraditional fonts please be mindful of readers who may not be use to reading those types of fonts. If it is difficult to read it may not be considered for a feature.
