Hello, UTA! It's April here, and I'm back with a new post! This one sort of came out of the blue, to be honest. I was messing around on a game with an online friend of mine, and she went afk. Suddenly, as soon as she left the keyboard, I got the urge to write. She ended up being gone for a while, sadly, and I had to depart from the computer, but during the time she was gone, I wrote this poem! Some of my research for it will look a little odd in my search history (*cough* "words that rhyme with bomb" for example *cough*), but I think it paid off. I respect this as one of the best poems I've ever written! In my head, I read the "tick tock" sections as a song, and the rest as a rap, haha. I'm really proud of this one ;w; It's written in the perspective of the monsters in a timeline where, as a spirit, Chara kills monsters ruthlessly, until Frisk falls down. They continue their reign of terror, tempting Frisk to them. I worked hard on this poem, so I hope you enjoy it!

Your heart changes

With the flip of a dime.

One minute you’re a savage,

The next, you’re kind!

You never seem to listen;

At this rate, your soul will be mine!

I’ve watched from afar.

With every step

I raise the bar.

Now be smart,

You can even restart;

But only once.

You don’t have much time!

I tell myself,

In my mind,

That it will be fine;

But it’s only a matter of time

Before you strike,

Before you take us in your wake of crime.

Before you decide,

That we don’t matter.

But that's only in YOUR eyes.

You’re like a time bomb,

Ticking,

Waiting,

Threatening to destroy our calm.

But we all know that’s a lie.

You lure us with traps,

Feeding us crap

About how righteous you are,

Or how you will go far

To protect us;

To save us.

You should just shut your trap…

You’re digging your own grave.

We will become brave!

Our flames with continue to burn,

For we have learned.

We have learned from our past mistakes.

We know, now, what makes you ache.

We will not allow you to create

A fate

Of that which we cannot escape.

We will decide our own fate.
