I decided to make a long-period blog and share my stanning process with all of you. the way this works is that I’ll explain each day in stanning them and the things I’ve done that day to help myself stan them, then when I’ve finally finished that I’ll end the blog with my final thoughts on each member and the group as a whole.

I don’t mean to bring kangin into everything but like the reason I found out about BtoB is because I started watching a song for you because my ultimate bias, kangin, was an MC for this show. I then thought that sungjae, who’s another MC for the show, was incredibly cute and did more research on him to find that he’s from a group called BtoB. I then watched the episode with BtoB in it and they all seem really fun so I thought stanning fun guys, with great voices, is just a perfect idea.

Not a lot. I’ve only seen two of their MV’s- wow and beep beep. I also know their song ‘I’ll be your man’ because I’ve just heard it around quite a lot. I also know who sungjae is, and I know the names of the . Basically what I know is just what I’ve seen from “a song for you”. I really wanted to research more into them but I thought I’d not start the process of stanning until I make this blog.

i did a little research on the basics before i started;

They’re a 7 member boy group formed in 2012 by Cube Entertainment. Their fandom name is Melody and they debuted with the song Insane.

Starting pretty simple. To stan a group I think I should at least enjoy their music, right? I’ve only heard 3 songs before this so I decided I should go into depth about their music. I started off with their title songs and their music videos.

“Insane” is really… insane. It’s beautiful, I love the music and the video gave me actual kpop vibes… I miss those kind of videos.

“I’ll be your man” is also really good and probably my favourite. I love the amount of emotion that’s in the song, and the guy with red hair? I don’t know his name yet but his hair is really standing out to me, I love it but I know it’ll most likely change.

ALSO BEEP BEEP IS A BOPPPPPPP. It’s so catchy? And colourful? I really love sungjae’s voice. I neeeeeed to learn the other though. “Beep beep” really gets me hyped and puts me in a good mood, I’m in love.

“You’re so fly” is really good but definitely not my favourite. The beat is good and the chorus is so catchy, but the rest of the song doesn’t really fit the kind of music that I’m usually into. The video, however, is a whole different story. It looks so fun and just really looks like they enjoyed making it.

“Thriller” really wasn’t my style music wise. I don’t know why, but I didn’t enjoy it as much? I do love the “NEVER EVER EVER” bit though lmao. I also think the video really suits halloween so I’m kinda salty it wasn’t released in October but that’s okay. I love their outfits, like really love then… not so sure about the waistcoats though. But that’s okay. i love halloween vibes.

Movie is beautiful. So so so beautiful. I love all the colours that’s in the music. So many colours. It’s really aesthetically pleasing?? The song suits my taste too. Their vocals are seriously insane? This song is just a whole bop and a half, I love it. Huge fan of it.

I’M SO EMO AFTER LISTENING TO “ THAT” OH MY GOD. Vocals. On. Point. Literally everything is beautiful about this, I don’t need to say anything more.

The guy speaking at the beginning of “it’s okay” is really cute. He’s not the only cute thing though- the entire song is cute. this one is also pretty aesthetically pleasing? Are they all just great for aesthetics? The song is really pretty to listen to and the video made me a little sad????

I’m now listening to “way back home”. As much as I love upbeat songs, these slow ones with cute videos are honestly so beautiful. They look really fun to make and their vocals are just amazing.

“Missing you”- THE PIANOOOOO. I’M EMO. AGAIN. The rap goes really well with this song I’m so in love with it. it kind of sounds like this should be played in a kdrama- the video itself looks like a sad kdrama whoops. I love the ending so much.

“Brand new days” ooooh a Japanese song?? My eyes are blinded by the brightness, am I angry? Nope I’m loving it. what a beauty.

“Dear bride” another Japanese video?? It’s amazing. For some reason I always love the videos to Japanese songs. They’re always so pretty and this one really isn’t an exception.

Oh, they have a whole load of Japanese music videos whoops.

The rest of this day is me just checking these all out and they’re honestly very beautiful. I love everyone’s voices a lot and I love the beauty of the videos. They look like a lot of fun to film and the choreography is nice too. I love their title songs and their music videos so, so far so good. Thats the end of this day because I’m running out of time. I’ll be back tomorrow.

There’s always some high quality bops hidden in every groups albums so today I’m going to check some of these out and listen to their albums.

Brother Act- I love that it starts off with a beautiful piano solo. A great start to the album. My lady is such a pretty song. It seems like a song that you’d listen to when it’s raining in autumn and you have a lazy day at home while drinking hot chocolate lmao. The fifth song is my favourite in the album, it’s very upbeat and so fun to listen to. I’m also a huge fan of “guitar”. The whole album is beautiful, just a pure msaterpiece tbh. I would write about every song but the blog will be long enough as it is.

that- This album is so pretty wow. It reminds me of the spring. Every song is just… pretty. I love this album a lot. The last song on the album, empty space, is my favourite.

I mean- Is there going to be an album I dislike? at this rate it really doesn’t seem like there will be. I think this is my favourite album so far. I could honestly just jam to every song on this album, I’m finding is difficult to choose a favourite? hmm… maybe all wolves except me? I love this album.

Thriller- Their title song wasn’t my favourite, but the album is great. It’s really nice to listen to and “like a crystal” is probably my favourite on this one.

Beep beep- I LOVE this album. Honestly I love it so much. I really wish it was longer, 5 songs wasn’t enough for this album. I don’t know if beep beep or hello Mello is my favourite. They’re both bops, but then again all 5 songs are.

Feel’eM- I thought ‘I mean’ would be my favourite album but now I’m beginning to change my mind. This album is great to listen to when you’re studying imo, it’s really really chill. Rock n hiphop is my favourite song on this one.

new men- the beginning is so edgy Jesus crikey. I’m still waiting for an album that I dislike. This isn’t it. This album contains nothing but bops. My favourite song on this album is new man. I think this is the perfect song to start off the album, it’s great and kinda intense in a way that I can’t seem to explain.

Born To Beat- The album is great. My favourite song on this album is insane, the song is really really catchy. It’s probably my least favourite album from the ones i’ve listened to so far but that doesn’t mean I dislike it, it’s sill great and I love listening to the songs. Theres just more songs on other albums that I enjoy, if you get what I mean?

The winters tale- This album is a beautiful album for Christmas time. Im usually not a fan of Christmas but I honestly want it to be Christmas just so it’s appropriate to listen to this album. I know full well I’ll listen to this album in the summer anyway.

Move- BOPS NOTHING BUT BOPS IM IN LOVE

Press play- this album really has the sound that I enjoy a lot. My favourite song on this album is I know nothing but love. Everything about that song is perfect. This whole album is flawless.

Thats the end of day 2. It took me all day to listen to their albums but I really enjoyed it. I listened to them in a random order for some reason, I should’ve just listened to them all from oldest to newest? Oh well. Im glad I enjoy their music, they’re really talented and I love their music a lot. I’m excited to get to know more about the in the future.

So there’s 7 I’ve decided to learn 3 one day, and 4 another. Today I’m learning about sungjae and minhyuk

sungjae.

he’s the member I only really know out of the group. however I’ve only seen him as an MC for a song for you, so now I’m going to learn about him from other things too.

I’m really just watching random videos to get to know him.

For some random reason, I started with by watching a compilation of him speaking English. He’s adorable but the video was hilarious. Now I’m watching sungjae the evil maknae compilation. I didn’t know he was the maknae lmao but I’m learning. He’s hilarious. I basically just watched a lot of funny videos and a few clips from some shows to get to know him. I learnt a lot about him through los of these videos. I also learnt that he’s an actor, and he starred in a drama I watched and really enjoyed called The Village (he was literally a main character woah). I’d like to see more kdramas that he’s in in the future. i also learnt that he gets hiccups when he eats spicy food which tbh is really really cute. His voice is amazing and he’s a great actor, he’s really really bubbly and just comes across as a very sincere and really well mannered guy. he’s really funny and is honestly just adorable. I’m glad I got to know more about him.

minhyuk.

Again, I’m just learning about him the way I usually learn about people- videos and research. I only watch clips of the when learning about them because i’ll watch stuff with the full group afterwards.

Woah he’s an actor too? He’s also been in a drama I’ve watched called nightmare teacher as one of the lead characters. So second member in and they’re both really talented actor, good start right? I just read up on the situation about his ex-girlfriend and the whole situation thing. I feel really bad about that but it’s not my place to voice anything about this so I’m moving onto actually getting to know him. OOOOH HE’S THE ONE WITH RED HAIR IN I’LL BE YOUR MAN. I’m glad I finally found that out. i’ve found out that he’s very sporty… like, very very sporty. He’s really good at sports, it’s incredible. He’s also a very dorky member and he’s very weird. He also succeeded in making heechul blush and it was really cute so well done minhyuk. I also found out he wears red underwear but that wasn’t something I was aiming on finding out, woops. He’s cute though, even when he’s being weird. I love his voice a lot- it’s very soothing and calming, and he appears in music videos looking finer than ever.

Ilhoon.

The first thing I learnt is that he’s very smart (66x7=462)… but then he’s also really heckin dumb (92+45=4060) lmfao. Oooooh he’s also in hyuna’s song roll deep, I actually never looked into him even though I love that song for some reason? I just found out that he’s incredibly adorable and he also hates skinship a lot (yo bro I understand you) awawaw and hiS SMILE IS SO CUTE IM GONNA CRY his little laugh and just wow I’m so soft he’s adorable please someone protect him. I’m guessing he does a lot of aegyo?? I’ve just seen like 293843984894839849382439823894 videos of him doing gwiyomi?? He’s cute though so it’s okay. He’s really talented and I love his rapping, and he’s good at writing and producing songs too wow what a talented man ijaisjdja. Oooooh, he’s preparing for a solo album soon? But hey, maybe by the time I post this he would’ve already released his solo albums, who knows lmao. I just saw the video of him singing Something by Girls Day on weeklyidol lmfao im crying what a beautiful video. Ilhoon is hilarious to watch, he’s adorable, and he’s really talented wow.

Peniel.

I don’t know anything about him other than what I saw on Hello Counsellor before. He had that concern about his hair loss, right? He’s incredibly cute and for some reason I got the impression that he’s shy so I’m kind of excited to get to know more about him. I think he’s incredibly brave for opening up about it tbh and I’m glad no one was negative towards him too. OH HE HAS A YOUTUBE CHANNEL? His youtube channel is POV (Peniel’s Official Vlog) if you also want to check it out. Omg he’s adorable he’s so cute I’m so soft oh lord help me he’s too cute aHHHHh. And he has a dog. His dog looks like a sheep but still it’s really cute and I just love dogs so much wow. So he was born in the United States but moved to Korea during his trainee days cool cool cool. I watched his cover of I’m yours and he’s so cute blessssss. I’m pretty sure I say everyone is cute but I’m soft and I mean it when I say he’s cute sdjasd. He just seems really amazing and I can’t wait to watch him in variety shows later in the week.

Hyunsik

I just listened to the song Swimming- his voice is so so so beautiful. Like it’s just so soft but has so much emotion and is so wow holy heck Im in love with his voice? The song is an actual masterpiece. He sings incredibly well. He has a really cute eye smile omg how cute can this group get?? Him and Ilhoon are so cute and their cuteness seems to explode when they’re together, do they get shipped a lot? I’m not one to ship and I don’t ship them but they both just look really cute and like they’re really really good friends. Oh his father is a singer too? wELL I guess that kind of amazing talent just runs in the family then. Wow, this man can sing, play guitar, play piano and speak Chinese AND Korean?? What I’ve learnt from BtoB so far is that they all have so many talents and are all really amazing. I also found out some random facts like his favourite number is 37, his role model is Stevie wonder, his favourite colour is red, he’s very relaxed and calm and he sang at a school event with DO from exo before.

Eunkwang.

Oooooh the leader! The first thing I just found out is that he’s opened a cafe in Singapore lmao, I don’t know why that was the first thing I found out though. I just watched Eunkwang and NC.A- So do you, and the video is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen, and the song is incredibly beautiful too. It looks like it’s come straight from a kdrama and I’m so emo after listening to it omg. NC.A and Eunkwang both has very honey-like voices. Now I’m listening to One Day and I’m extra emo… again. His voice is just really really beautiful I have nothing else to say. WOAH HIS HIGH NOTES WTF. Also, Eunkwang is hilarious. His reactions and facial impressions are everything I live for oh my god I can’t stop laughing. Him being fooled by sungjaes “magic trick” and him looking shOOOK is hilarious yet adorable and I’m just laughing too much. I’ve seen a lot of videos of him dancing to Gashina, does he love that song or something? Idk but him dancing to it is wonderful and is just what I needed to see today.

Changsub.

ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL VOICE THAT MAKES ME EMO WAY. I listened to him singing beautiful on duet song festival and how does one sing THAT well live? The woman he’s singing with harmonises so well with him too. Beautiful performance I’m crying. Omg he’s the one who did that hilarious video with Hani when they were eating and he couldn’t stop laughing because of Hani’s face lmfao. His laugh is actually adorable anD HIS SCREAM LMFAO I’M CRYING. This show is hilarious. I found out from Peniel’s youtube channel that Changsub has a weird habit of hitting his ribs. I also watched the video of that fan rejecting his handshake and he ended up joking about it for the whole fan meeting omg I would feel bad for him but I’m actually laughing so much. Tbh he seems incredibly cute, like I’ve said that for every member but I mean Changsub seems like he’s the “cutest” of all (they’re all cute tho I promise) since the only videos I’ve seen of him just involve him laughing constantly and just generally being a happy bean.

I did more research than what I had written but I mainly just wrote my main thoughts on each member and just a little about what I found out. I’ve already made this blog super long so now I’m trying to at least make it readable lmao I hope that’s okay.

I’ve already seen them on a song for you and hello counsellor before so I won’t include them here and it’s not part of my process of stanning them— however just know that I still enjoyed these episodes.

Knowing Brothers (ep 74 if you want to watch it)- I LOVE watching knowing brothers and it’s so good to watch to get to know them better. I got to learn a lot more about them and their personalities through this episode. I learnt that Eunkwang is a literal sunshine. He’s so positive and enthusiastic about everything and it actually put me in a really good mood he’s so cute oh my. I also learnt Minhyuk could do some great acrobatic moves which actually looked really difficult and they’re all quite good at imprecations too! Sungjae’s impersonation of Kyunghoon was so funny and definitely my favourite, but Changsub’s fish impression was good too. Peniel is so cute and just so pure and innocent I’m crying, he really cares for his a lot too like when minhyuk was doing the acrobatic thing peniel was like “won’t you get back cramps? Make sure you stretch first” AWEEEEEE. But yeah, this whole episode was amazing to watch.

Weekly Idol (ep 276) - This episode made me feel really dizzy. Watching Eunkwang get spun around six time by each member TWICE actually made me feel really sick for him kdjfkjfsfklj. Most of this episode was just them hitting each others butts and getting punished. Minhyuk not having enough strength to hit peniel was adorable, and minhyuk’s red hair just makes him a whole lot cuter. Tbh I would’ve thought he was the maknae whoops.

Weekly idol (ep 261)- This episode was with got7, twice and friend with hani and heechul as mc’s. Perfect already. BtoB’s formation at the beginning was honestly tragic I’m laugh crying. EUNKWANGS UGLY DANCE LMAOO WHAT THE FUCK IM CACKLING. Nice to see btob protecting their image :tired_face: omg all of them, I’m crying those ugly dances were hilarious I’m in actual tears what have I just witness????? Idk but I think my life is finally complete. Changsub laughing at eunkwang is honestly a whole aesthetic. His laugh is adorable and eunkwang is hilarious. OMG minhyuk making heechul’s heart race is so funny too- this whole episode is just making me laugh so hard. Their x2 speed dance for wow was so good omg how did they do that kjfdjf the other groups were amazing too.

Okay I’ve ran out of time so I can’t watch Sungjae or Eunkwang on happy together but I’ll definitely do that another day when I can! I’ll also watch them on Battle trip when I have the time too, but I hope what I wrote for this day was enough.

The hardest day of the week… well actually this was quite easy and I never choose a bias - it just comes naturally. At first I thought it would be Sungjae because I really liked watching him on A song for you and he just seemed really kind and fun to be around, however as I’ve gotten to know the others i actually think my bias is Peniel.

The thing I love about Peniel is, well, basically everything. I love the sound of his rapping, and he can even sing really well too. I love his head just as much as his and I think he’s incredibly brave for speaking out about his personal problems. I love that when his speak English (not very well) he doesn’t laugh at them or make fun of them but listens and tries to correct them. His hilarious “Hollywood acting” is hilarious and he basically is just hilarious and so much fun to watch. Watching his youtube channel was honestly a great way to spend my time and I really liked that he wanted to show people about his life- I can see from the videos that he’s just a genuine little fluff ball that doesn’t seem to have a bad bone in his body. I’ve seen him before on some shows and he really comes across as shy quite a lot and tbh I think his shyness is adorable. However, when he’s around his he does seem to open up a lot more and he seems very comfortable around them. You can see how funny he is around his and he’s just incredibly cute. I love how talented he is and I love his personality.

My bias wrecker, however, would be ilhoon. he just seems so soft and his smile is full of innocence and is adorable. By watching videos of him i can tell how talented he is and how hard he works to get to where he is right now. He just seems really really friendly and like hes kind to everyone? i get the feeling he can be quite scary at times idk why lmao he just seems scary but too soft to actually be scary idk how to explain it. But yeah, he also really stands out to men and i really really like him.

I’m really glad I decided to make this post. It’s basically a really long shitpost that I’ve been making for a whole week. I didn’t make this with intention of people reading it- I just made it for my own memories so I can look back on it in the future when I’m probably deeper into the fandom. I’ll do more research even after this post so that I can find out more about them- this post is just meant to be the basics of me learning about them. Hopefully in the future I can call myself an actual melody as I’ll get to know them more.

I really really like BtoB and although I’m kind of late, I’m glad I finally decided to stan them. I’m not really one to plan to stan groups, it just comes naturally but I wanted to try this out and see if a structured way of stanning helps me and this honestly did.

My thoughts on BtoB are that they are really talented and have really fun personalities. I can tell how much they care together and they even decided not to enlist into the military altogether because they didn’t want to leave Peniel by himself and tbh that’s so thoughtful of them. They have incredible voices, they rap well, catchy chores and have amazing music videos- they’re basically talented at everything lmao. They’re all really funny and cute and just a lot of fun to watch. They’re different to what I expected too. For some reason I though they were a really quiet and shy group but oh mY GOD they’re so damn loud. I feel bad for their manager sometimes lsadjasdljsd they’re hilarious though.
