˗ˏˋ what is moderation patrol? ´ˎ˗

moderation patrol, also known as mp, is a patrol that helps the leadership team enforce the first level offenses of the guidelines. will send a short notice on posts, profiles, or chats that violate these guidelines to alert them of the issue at hand. if it is not resolved within the given time frame, then the let the lt know and it is promptly hidden. this patrol was formerly known as police patrol or pp for short.

˗ˏˋ quota and strikes ´ˎ˗

every member of moderation patrol, including the leadership team, is expected to fulfill their quota of reports. the amount varies by each rank. lt are expected to have sent ten (10) notices, warriors are expected to send eight (8), and lastly apprentices are expected to send five (5).

we have a strike system in moderation patrol to ensure that our are active. missing one week of quota results in one (1) strike. at two (2) strikes you will receive a warning from the mp lt in regards to your activity. finally, at three (3) strikes, you will be removed from the patrol. a strike can be removed by completing two (2) weeks of quota.

if you are unable to meet your quota for any reason, you must inform a lt member for a temporary excuse. this can be done in the mod patrol chat or to a lt member via pms. this excuse will be valid for up to two (2) months. however, it can be expanded depending on your situation.

˗ˏˋ patrol rules ´ˎ˗

i. follow the [guidelines]

— as a member of moderation patrol you are an example to other and represent our patrol. therefore, it is critical you follow our rules.

ii. do not abuse your position

— any form of power abuse will not be tolerated and is strictly forbidden. if you are found to be abusing your position, you will be kicked from the patrol.

iii. meet our activity standards

— in moderation patrol there are a few activity standards you have to meet. these include: you must meet your quota unless excused, hiatuses cannot go over two (2) months, and more that are expanded upon in their appropriate section.

iv. do not start drama or arguments with other of the patrol

— moderation patrol works together as a team more than any other patrol. it is essential the environment stays drama free to ensure the best performance of everyone.

depending on the nature, severity and circumstance of your offence, you may be demoted, removed, or temporary kicked if you break any of these rules. due to wca’s policy surrounding guideline violations across platforms, this will not apply across all platforms. however, your offences on other platforms may still be considered.

as a member of moderation patrol, you are held to higher standards. therefore, you are expected to handle situations fairly and maturely. this also means that you’ll face the consequences of not meeting these standards.

— roster + help desks

— leader —

the head of the patrol. the leader should guide the whole leadership team and watch for dips in activity. they have the final say and should help to work with all aspects of the patrol. this member is typically the most experienced.

— deputy —

the second in command. when the leader is on a break for any reason or steps down the deputy will take their spot. the deputy helps the leader to make the team work smoothly. this is typically the second most experienced member behind the leader.

— medicine cat —

the third in command. when the deputy is on a break for any reason or steps down the medicine cat will take their spot. the medicine cat is responsible for keeping watch of the patrol activity first and foremost, although it is a job of everyone.

— medicine cat apprentice —

this member is “in training” of being a mp lt member. they are typically the least experienced member on the lt. they still have the same responsibilities as everyone else but still keep a closer eye on patrol activity.

— warriors —

this is the body of our patrol! they are what helps keep our feed clear and guideline abiding. the warriors are responsible for completing their quota every week. warriors can also take on an apprentice and help them blossom into a warrior!

— apprentices —

apprentices are the least experienced of our clan. they’re still learning to develop their skills! each apprentice will be assigned a mentor who can give constructive criticism on their assignments.

— elders —

retired of moderation patrol. they were once apart of the patrol but either left or were removed from the clan.

our mascot is the wonderful scruffles drawn and designed by whiteeyes. he may be tiny but you don’t want to mess with him! this mighty tom also loves his cookies!
