I'll do this both as a challenge entry and an introductory post ;)
1. How long have you been crafting for?
My whole life. I knitted my first sock when i was 6? I think? Wirh assistance ofc. I've been onto many different arts my whole life.
2. Was there anyone who got you into crafting? Who?
Both my grandmother and my mother. But i would be into it regardless.
3. What's your main medium?
Yarn! Be it knitting, crocheting, or knotting bracelets and patterns.
4. What's your favourite thing about your main medium and why?
It's both versatile and useful. I don't make many decorative items, just items I can use. Mainly socks, but gloves, mittens or a hat should it be necessary.
5. Is there a medium you haven't tried but want to? If so, what is it?
I've tried a lot of mediums. So the only one I can think of is cutting plate wood and burning images into it, layered.
6. What's your favourite thing about crafting?
That it can be used for something practical. It's not so much about decor for me.
7. What are your strongest crafting skills?
Knitting! I don't count my drawing/painting skills as crafting, but if i did, they would be the strongest.
8. Is there anything you'd like to improve on with your crafting? If so, tell us about it!
Learn more techniques, improve on consistency and overall skill.
9. What's your most favourite creation that you've made so far? Why is it your favourite?
I knitted a pair of socks last fall. Just regular ones, nothing special really, but the yarn was really stunning. Fabel.
Alternatively, I knitted a lovely pair of mittens last winter in alpaca yarn!! Green/gray and white, with a pattern of two fishes on it. Unfortunately too small for my hands, but they made for a good gift.
10. Who are your crafting inspirations?
I don't have any. I make what a want and/or need.
11. If you could work/collaborate with any other crafter, who would it be and why?
I don't really know that many crafters. I know many artists though, and I regularly do art trades and collaborations with them. :sparkles:
12. Has crafty amino helped you on your crafting journey? (Tell us about it!)
I haven't been here long enough yet.
13. What are your crafting goals? (E.g. open a shop, start a crafty YouTube channel, have your work featured in a gallery etc.)
I only want to make what is practical and needed for myself and my closest. Though I am very fond of giving gifts as well. :+1: 🏻
14. What advice would you give to someone who is just starting their crafting journey?
Have fun. Learning takes time.
15. A random but fun question, if you could be any craft supply, what would you be and why?
I'd be a simple ball of yarn. Many uses, if you have the skill. :sparkles:
