2 years!!

Of the Feature Cult!!

Anyway! Welcome to my 2 year staff anniversary blog! I'm gonna give some of my thoughts as well as thank people who have been with me along the way.

Summary

That was it! 2 years ago today I got a message I was low-key sus of bc I forgot Jenny was a leader-

And then it sunk in and I ed that evening! I sucked at my job first of all but then got the hang of it and all was gucci!

I've had a really positive experience over the past two years, with my time definitely having some ups and downs, but overall it's been lovely.

Here's my staff history for context:

Feature Cult: 29/1/19 -

Feature Curator: 18/1/2020 - 4/7/2020

Security Curator: 7/8/2019 - 26/10/2019

Journalists: 3/7/2019 - 15/8/2019

Editors' Alliance: 27/11/2019 - 18/1/2020

Journalists Part 2: 9/9/2020 - 10/12/2020

Temporary Welcoming: 22/9/2020 - 29/9/2020

As you can see, I've been in every team (not counting Leader), but I've stuck with Feature for the full two years, even progressing to Feature Curator, but having to step down due to personal reasons. I would've definitely held the position for longer if I could, as I really enjoyed being in Feature Leadership :)

My recommendation

Thinking about ing staff?

Go for it!

Seriously, it's so nice to have a whole team of people who you know are there to go to, and to be a part of something so talented and friendly. I would very much recommend ing, even if you're nervous. I was terrified at first but I definitely haven't regretted it. Just be prepared to put in some time and effort!

Closure

To be completely honest, I was planning to leave staff at my two year anniversary, as I had a lot going on. However, I think I can handle it now, so definitely expect me to stick around for a bit longer!

My next goal is finally have Jenny follow me back,,, seriously it's been over 2 years :triumph:

Mainly my goal is for 3 years! That'd be hella cool.
