A Hyrulean Christmas

Today, for this glorious holiday, I have another one-shot fanfiction to share with you all!

It doesn't take place in any specific Zelda game, in fact it has characters from all sorts of Zelda games!

So sit back, get some hot cocoa, and enjoy!

A Hyrulean Christmas

"Link! Hurry up! We don't wanna keep everyone waiting!" Saria yelled from below.

"I'm coming!" Link said, carrying a bag of gifts down with him. Today was Christmas, and Princess Zelda had invited Link, and practically everyone in Hyrule to celebrate in Hyrule Castle. Link had gotten gifts for all of his friends.

Him and Saria made their way over to the castle, and were immediately greeted by Zelda.

"Link! Saria! I'm so glad you could make it!" she said cheerfully. She led them over to where everyone was gathered. Link set his bag of gifts down under the tree, and took the gifts out. Him and Saria then went over to greet everyone.

Hundreds of people were there, including everyone he knew. The Champions, the Sages, and everyone he knew from every race in Hyrule.

"Hey Link! Come outside!" He heard a voice say to him. He walked outside and was bombarded with snowballs. He wiped the snow off his face, and saw the Ordon Village children hiding behind walls of snow, giggling. Link picked up some snow, made a big snowball, and chucked it at one of the children named Talo. Four more snowballs came back at him. Soon, they were all throwing snowballs.

"Does anyone want some coo-" Ilia said, walking out of the castle as a snowball hit her face.

"Ilia! I'm so sorry!" Link said. But Ilia just sat there. But after a few minutes, she ed in too.

A half hour later, Link looked over at a nearby hill and saw some Gorons rolling down it.

"Come us, brother!" Darunia yelled from the top of the hill. Link and the others climbed the hill. Link found a few shields nearby, along with the Hylian Shield and gave everyone a shield.

"Yall know how to shield surf?" Link asked. Everyone shook their heads. Link gave them all a tutorial.

"Watch and learn!" Link said, as he hopped on his shield and began surfing down the hill.

Soon, everyone was doing it (excluding the Gorons, they rolled). They even raced against one another.

"Time to eat!" Zelda yelled from the bottom of the hill. Everyone surfed and rolled down the hill to go eat dinner. As they went inside, Zelda took off their jackets and winter gear for them and put it in the dryer to dry. The dining hall was filled with people all over Hyrule, from Zoras, Gerudo, Gorons, Rito, Sheikah, Kokiri, and even normal Hylians. Sadly, the Twili couldn't be here, due to there being no way of getting here.

Impa walked in with plates of steaming hot food, all of which smelled amazing. She set down the plates, and took a seat. Before they ate, Zelda said a few words.

"I'm so happy you all could make it today! This holiday is such an amazing holiday, and I'm happy we could spend it together. Merry Christmas everyone!"

As they ate, they talked and talked. Link looked across the table and saw Mipha and Ruto staring at him. When they saw him looking, they looked away.

After they ate, everyone gathered around the Christmas tree, and handed out gifts. Daruk came over, and gave Link his gift. Link opened it, and saw a Rock Sirloin in it.

"T-Thanks, Daruk" Link said, trying to sound thankful and happy.

Mipha gave him Zora Armor, Saria gave him a Fairy Ocarina, and Medli gave him a Wind Waker, so her and him could practice together with their music. Urbosa gave him a Gerudo outift, so he could come into Gerudo Town anytime. Zelda gave him a poem written about their friendship.

Link's gift to everyone was similar. He handed everyone their gift, and as they opened it, smiles plastered on their faces. It was a framed picture of him and each person (ex. Zeldas gift was a picture of him and her, Miphas was of him and her, etc.)

They all loved their gifts. They spent the rest of the evening talking, watching Christmas movies, and baking cookies together. It was glorious.

As nightfall came, everyone began to part ways. It was a fun day. The best Christmas anyone in Hyrule had ever had. As they left, everyone said the same thing:

"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
