how to love super junior

I’m writing this blog for those who don’t stan suju but would like to. If you dislike suju but would like to give them a second chance then i hope this blog can be of some help to you! plus, its valentines day so I'm spreading the love(': I will explain the steps on how to love super junior.

First you need to know the basics of the group. If you have completed this step by yourself then feel free to skip to the next step.

Super Junior (Suju) are a kpop group under SM entertainment. They debuted in 2005 with the song twins. They have a total of 15 : Leeteuk, Shindong, Kangin, Sungmin, Henry, Zhoumi, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Yesung, Hangeng, Kibum, Siwon, Heechul, Kyuhyun and Ryeowook. However, Hangeng and kibum left the group so now there are only 13 (but the suju family will always be of 15 ).

They have 5 subunits:

•K-R-Y [kyuhyun, ryeowook, yesung]

•Super junior-T [trot]

•Super Junior-H [happy]

•Super junior-M [mandarin]

•D&E [donghae and eunhyuk]

Their fandom name is E.L.F which stands for “ever lasting friends”

Now that you have completed this step, lets more onto the next step…

The next step is to recognise that they’re not perfect. They have said things in the past, and they do dumb shit sometimes. You don’t need to excuse what they’ve done but don’t hate them either- what’s done is done and they are unable to change that. A lot of the stuff they’ve said was like, almost 10 years (?) ago now so as well as recognising that they’re not perfect, please also recognise that it’s been a while and they have most likely changed since then. They’re not perfect, and when they’re going through rough times we shouldn’t excuse them, hate on them, give the other a hard time etc. but we should them and let them know they aren’t alone. There are who are hated on for things like 5- 10 years ago, there are who need actual help, and there are who have done nothing wrong at all. But all deserve our regardless. If you’re having trouble with this step, then continue on through to the next step and hopefully that will help you a bit more…

You need to know that EVERY member is talented. The fact that there are so many in the group means that there are also a lot of talents in the group too. Each member has their own talents, there isn’t a single member who is untalented. Some of these talents are shared and some make certain completely stand out. The shared talents are ofc the more obvious ones- they’re incredibly good at singing. Here is a video of Siwon singing and his vocals in this video honestly make me so emotional. Here is a video of their vocal ranking, I don’t want to rank their vocals lmao but it shows how talented they all are and how great they can all sing. There’s also this video of them imitating 10 singers lmao what a masterpiece. Another shared talent is rapping. A lot of the are good at this and there’s this video of heechul x eunhyuk x shindong x solar called charm of life and it shows how well they can rap (not to mention the choreography is made for everyone lmfao). You can listen to their rapping in any of their songs (you can do the same for their vocals too) because they’re honestly really good. They’re also amazing at dancing. i mean, we have the dance machine eunhyuk in the group sO. Seriously tho, they have some legendary choreographies lol and they are all good at dancing. A lot of the are talented actors too. So many of the have starred in dramas and movies and have done incredibly well. They all did a movie together called attack on the pinup boys and it’s hilarious so if you want to love them then I highly recommend watching that. Like I said, there are some individual talents too. We have Henry who can play the violin and piano, leeteuk who is a talented mc, heechul the professional impersonator, Siwon who can play the guitar. Ofc they all have their own talents but I think you get the point so I’ll move onto the next step.

Be aware that they just crazy and weird as fuck. Especially with their super shows. They constantly come out with some weird shit that you can’t dislike, and they’re always hyper. I think the super show performances are always the best to show this. I mean.. we have puff the magic dragon where there is a baby shindong, wild horse where Siwon has his nipples twisted, do re mi where ryeowook is having the time of his life and the other just want to die, cooking cooking where yesung is a broccoli and they’re all getting us to enjoy veg, I will follow him where siwon definitely had control of the concert that evening. Not only are the super shows incredibly weird but they’re just crazy people in general. when Donghae and eunhyuk did that oppa oppa song and dressed as mustard and ketchup? If not, then lemme tell you about a song that went “funky toownnn, im international baby one two three lets go”… they sang that at a wedding. “I say donghae you say oppa, I say eunhyuk you say oppa.” they. sang. this. at. their. . sisters. wedding. Idk if you can call this crazy but it’s definitely weird (and quite cute)- one of the called yesung has a philtrum fetish. I don’t know why. But he does. There are so many videos that show how crazy they are but I don’t want to overload this blog with videos like I already have. Although they’re in their 30’s now, they still act so childish lmfao like they haven’t grown up whatsoever. They’re always weird and wherever they are, this weirdness ALWAYS stands out. It’s hard to ignore but it’s easy to love. I hope this step was easy to complete, there are only a couple more to go;

Before even reading this post you were probably already aware of this. But if you weren’t then you definitely should be because if you don’t know this then you’ll probably miss out on a lot of great super junior stuff. You should know that they are variety kings. A lot of the are really good at being MC’s and they’re all good at being guests. Watching them on variety shows would definitely be a great way to get to love them and to just get to know them and their personalities in general. We have heechul who is part of the knowing bros cast, you can learn a lot about his personality here and you can also learn other groups from this show too, we have the professional mc leeteuk on talk shows like strong heart/ star king, kangin on a song for you, kyuhyun on radio star, Henry as part of the cast on I live alone etc. Watching them as guests on variety shows is honestly so good though. Them as guests on knowing bros was amazing and it helps to learn more about them and random fun facts, they’ve also been on weekly idol and running man too. They’re so funny on these shows as they’re pretty hyper and chaotic so tbh it’s just all over the place but hilarious. Nobody can control them. Some have also been on happy together too, separately. Theres been heechul, kyuhyun and Henry, Siwon, shindong and leeteuk (I hope I haven’t missed any out?). There was also kangin on hitmaker, man who feeds dog and a celebrity living in my house. Leeteuk and shindong were on battle trip, ryeowook on celeb bromance, etc. Watching shows like these is [not crucial but] highly recommended if you want to learn about their personalities.

This step is incredibly important. Probably the most important for me. You need to know that they care about people, especially each other, so much. They care about each other endlessly and cherish the fact that they will always have the , and elf, to them and always be there for them. You need to know that they are proud of having each other and their love will always live on. They are a family. After their horrifying car accident in 2007, after almost losing one of their fellow , they are always sure to look after each other and love each other with their entire hearts. This incident was so scary and we are so lucky that they are still all with us here today. The are a family, all 15 of them are family and none of the are excluded from this. They show their love for suju and the in various ways. They always show how proud they are to be a part of this group. For example, they are always talking about the when they take part in variety shows. Kangin constantly spoke about the suju when he was an mc for a song for you, kangin always talks to strangers about his group and makes sure that they are aware he’s a part of this great loving group. Heechul speaks about the group so much as a part of the cast on knowing bros too. Leeteuk cares for the group endlessly and is an amazing leader. When he was hurt in that horrific accident, he told the medics that he was fine and that kyuhyun needed help. Even when some receive a load of hate, instead of pushing them aside and ignoring it, they them throughout the hard times and show how much they love them. They always stick together. When making a speech at one of their shows, the leader leeteuk addressed all the , including the former ones. They will always be a part of suju and will always be loved by suju no matter what. And lets not forget about kyuhyun and Henry. When Henry became a member of suju, kyuhyun cared for him so much. kyuhyun makes sure that Henry is doing okay on variety shows too. He looked after him during happy together, he ed him in weekly idol when Henry asked. Siwon also shows his love for the too. In suju returns he bought each a gift and gave them a handwritten letter each to show how much he cares about them. Not only do they care just for each other, but they also care about others as well. Siwon is so caring. He uses the fact he’s rich by helping out those in need and helping charities. He cared for the foreign NCT by cooking for them and eating with them when they couldn’t return to their families. They all care for children too. Watching them care for children honestly warms my heart so much. They’re forever caring for others and I really wish people would notice this. They are loving and caring. Don’t forget that. I could go on forever with this step but maybe i’ll make an entire new post based on this. Final step…

This final step is absolutely crucial in being able to love super junior. This step is to simply appreciate them all. In my opinion, elf’s should be incredibly thankful towards this group for all the hardwork that they put into their music and into making us happy, we should be thankful that even through so many rough times, they have stuck together and haven’t allowed anything to break them. They have stuck together for the sake of the team, and for us. We should be thankful that, rather than hiding all of the struggles they went through and all the fight’s they’ve had, they have been incredibly honest with us and share all their stories to the world. They have let us know that idols aren’t perfect, they have hardships too. They aren’t perfect, and super junior doesn’t hide this. They don’t shrug off their struggles, or hide them in the dark. Super junior talks about them and its when they’re wrong. They don’t make excuses. I’m so appreciative of their honesty and that they don’t let anything bring them down. Some of the have been through hell and back, with family and personal issues, yet they’ve stuck together for us and for the team. We should appreciate that they all have extremely different personalities, we should appreciate their amazing songs that they produce for us, we should appreciate their lovingness and kindness, we should appreciate that they love us just as much as we love them. Super junior are special, and we should appreciate them. They’ve done so much for us elf’s and I hope they know that we are incredibly thankful for that.
