hello everyone ! i feel that this is a topic that needs to be discussed:

-

i recently touched on this in JUNGKOOKIE’s #speakyourselfchallenge

-

my comment: “people see us post our notes regularly and talk about school, but we aren’t all doing that well. Our grades aren’t as high as some may think, we don’t do as much work as most people think we do. As a creator, it’s hard. You feel like you’re letting down so many people; showing a fake version of yourself. I beat myself up about it all of the time with thoughts such as “your grades aren’t even that good, why are you a study acc ?” and it’s really draining. I love posting and talking to people or inspiring them, but there’s so much pressure when people say that our ‘notes are perfect’ or ‘how can i do this piece of hwk.’ We are still people, we still make mistakes, we’re just hiding them from you. I feel as though that stereotype that anyone that posts notes is a grade A student that loves school and does loads of extra curricular classes isn’t always true. We need to learn to accept other people’s flaws, and not make such high expectations for someone that just wants to inspire others :)”

-

i’m sure many of you can agree on this. it’s hard when you get dm’s asking you to help do someone’s hwk (etc). just because we post notes doesn’t mean we know everything about the subject or topic, and it certainly doesn’t mean we will do your hwk for you, that’s not what this amino is about. i will gladly help someone with a piece of work if i have agreed to help, but i won’t do it if i don’t know you and haven’t agreed.

-

we are still people, we post notes because we want to, we talk about our time at school and our notes because we want to. we want to inspire and have fun. however, we don’t want to become someone you can start a conversation with if you have hopes of benefiting from us. please respect that we have lives, we don’t work as much as you think we do and we don’t want to be bombarded by your demands. there’s so much pressure to live up to everyone’s expectations when in reality, it’s impossible. there’s always going to be someone that doesn’t agree with what you’re doing, running an shouldn’t be so stressful and it shouldn’t feel like a burden on top of school and other problems in life

-

just as we love and respect our followers, we would greatly appreciate the same feelings towards us. a lot of my followers are amazing and i couldn’t ask for any better, but there’s still the odd few and i’m sure i’m not the only creator with this problem. whether you’re a small creator, a larger creator, a curator or leader, you do not have to help people that want to use you, be accepting to giving advice but not to become a slave to the people you want to inspire. it makes me feel like i’m doing something wrong, as though i’m not reaching out to people in the positive way i want to. it’s upsetting when someone gets annoyed or angry at us for not helping because we don’t know how to do a certain question or we refuse to help, especially if we’re accused of lying and not being as good as others think we are. we don’t all get amazing grades in either our hwk or exams and we don’t all work as much as some may seem to, please that

-

i hope this post can bring light to creators, curators, leaders and followers, we’re having a tough time too. please know it’s ok to say no in this situation, you don’t have to agree to everything to show that you really are doing the right thing and want to inspire, you can do that without doing things that make you uncomfortable.

-

i’m sorry this isn’t a very uplifting post but i’ve made it to reassure everyone that they have power over what they want to do. and i appreciate all of the hard work the creators, curators and leaders put into this amino. thank you for reading,- taestudies_ ♡

I couldn’t disagree with anything in this post. I feel the same way as you curators do because whenever I’m making a post for one of my productivity days (which is everyday mon-fri) I feel a little stressed out because I have to gather the photos, make sure the post looks neat and easy to read, but that makes me really stressed. But this post gave me an idea to instead of posting during school days, I might as well make a post on (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday), to tell people what I did during the school week. I’m so happy this post came out and I really appreciate it. I really wish and hope people would understand this and not stress me into posting everyday because I have so much schoolwork and I need more rest and take care of my health. That’s all I have to say :pensive: thank you for listening to me

this is true and i love that you did speak put for this which made me love this community more,

i used to think that if i made my notes pretty, be organized and neat will make me have high grade but it's not only that!

behind those organization and neat notes. You still will and have to struggle to get the grade

It's like whenever I don't understand anything, I always ask myself if it's really worth having a study where everyone thinks you understand everything and are a top student.

Sometimes I feel crazy that I have a study and I wanna delete all my posts. I have always been scared of not fulfilling people's expectations and honestly, when someone mocks you for your mistakes you really feel like crying. I've never been able to love myself because I wanted others to be happy about how I did stuff and never thought about myself. But now I've realised that 'when you're gonna take your last breath, what do you wanna ? How satisfied were other people around you with you? Or How satisfied you were with yourself?' The answer is probably the latter and I'm gonna try hard to be happy about who I am even if it feels like the end of the world at times.
