🪷 - if red velvet debuted like loona!

hello and welcome to this blog! this is a blog

idea i’ve had for awhile, so i finally decided to

make this blog. this was actually quite fun and

i might want to try doing a blog like this again

with another group some time in the future.

loona just really have an interesting concept,

so it’s super interesting to see how it might

work with other groups. red velvet is of course

a smaller group than loona, so i only divided

them into 2 subunits. i gave both the subunits

a debut album and a comeback. i also gave all

the a solo debut single with 2 songs,

just like the loona . i hope you like

irene and kwon eunbi have always reminded

me of each other for some reason. but that

isn’t the only reason i gave glitch to her as a

title track. i just think it suits her super well. it’s

such a pretty, strong and feminine song. i just

feel like both the sound and concept would fit

her so well. i also chose black pearl as a b-side

because it has this dark feminine vibe to it. it’s

just a very beautiful song. i also think the sci-fi

concept of the music video for glitch would

nicely fit with SM’s new smu/kwangya concept

(although i’m not really considering the music

video when i pick these songs, i just thought it

was a fun addition). but i would literally DIE if

irene released something like this. and since

this the beginning of the hypothetical version

of their debut, i think this is a nice start to their

career for sure. i just love both songs so much.

i feel like seulgi would fit a dark/seductive

concept so well. and ever since i watched that

one heroine performance with sunmi and

seulgi, i’ve always thought that seulgi fits all of

sunmi’s songs super well. and tail’s concept is

something i would really like to see from her.

i recently really fell in love with last dance and i

feel like the concept is kinda similar. i know in

reality it’s a title track and not a b-side but i

just felt like tail was better fit for a title track in

this context. and i just had to choose one. but

in my ideal reality last dance would at least get

a special dance music video or something. and

even though seulgi is my bias, i for some

reason had the hardest time picking songs for

her. she’s just such a versatile performer and

fits all types of concepts. i mean so are all red

velvet , however i feel like seulgi is

on another level. i hope these songs are okay.

i know this is kinda lazy of me lmao. but quite

honestly irene & seulgi we’re such a perfect

subunit and i don’t wish to change anything.

so this debut album is exactly the same as it

is in reality as well. i only removed seulgi’s

solo, since loona subunit albums don’t contain

any solo songs either. so that’s basically it.

and this would be the repackage album of the

previous one. naughty would obviously be the

title track and dahlia is a new added b-side. all

the other songs don’t really require any kind of

explaining, so i’ll just talk about dahlia. i’m not

sure if it’s a perfect fit with their other songs

but i personally would love to see them sing it.

i’m not sure if the rap part would still be

included and if irene would do it. i don’t think

irene is a bad rapper but i just feel like the raps

soyeon does just don’t really fit her that well.

she’s more of a soft toned rapper i think.

i know these are both taeyeon songs haha.

they just fit her super well okay? i also think

that it would be incredible if she could have a

song with slight rock elements to it. that’s why

i chose stress. when choosing a concept for

her all i could think about was the queens

archive i just teaser video. i even chose the

album cover based on that video haha. i just

think that her amazing and powerful voice

would get to shine with a song like this. then i

also had to include an emotional songs that’s

more similar to the solo songs she’s had in

reality. i think this combo of songs would fit

her super well. i think the music video for

stress would be a very dramatic video where

she breaks up with her partner and is trying

to get over it. so she could even show her

acting ability as well. i think it would suit her.

i think joy really fits a bright, happy, beautiful

and also a nostalgic concept. immediately

when i heard believer, i could imagine joy

singing it and could also hear her voice. she

honestly has such a beautifully unique voice

and a song like this would suit her so well. the

music video i think could be similar to the

music video for hello. something with really

cute scenes where she’s enjoying herself and

having fun with some type of adventure. and

also may aesthetically pleasing scenes. i feel

like floral themes would fit with this song and

concept super well. and sunny is just a really

cute retro sounding song. i honestly kinda

reminds me of the songs on her actual solo

debut album, so that’s why i decided to pick it.

this album just gives a sweet and happy vibe

that fit her stage name “joy” extremely well.

and now we have our final solo release. for this

one i was really inspired by her releases like

dear diary and nap fairy because i think that

type of pretty and relaxed sound suits her so

well. i’m afraid that many of you might not be

familiar with melody day and their amazing

songs like restless. and that’s okay, i just truly

recommend giving it a listen! the song is such

a perfect fit for yeri. i think her vocal ability

could truly shine with this song. i think the

music video could be a combination of dear

diary’s and restless’ music videos. and maybe

color palette that could include her assigned

color aka purple a lot. i think a lot of of yerin

baek songs would be a nice fit for yeri sound

and concept wise. maybe it’s not our fault is

my favorite out of all the options tho. her voice

could sound so pretty with songs like these.

and here we have our second subunit! i chose

the name aurora because that’s what i was

reminded of when thinking about their

representative colors. i also think it fits well

with the elegant and pretty concept i chose for

them. i think sparkling is such a refreshing

song that’s perfect for the summer time. and

i chose bittersweet because it gives of a very

similar vibe. it would suit their refreshing

vocals so well. the aerialist for some reason

really reminds me of a sm song and more

specifically a red velvet and maybe even a f(x)

song. so i think it’s perfect for them. i decided

to include jazz bar as well because i felt a like

jazzy type of song would fit them quite well. i

hope it’s not too out of place on the album.

there obviously weren’t that many pictures of

these three together that i could use, so the

quality of the album covers for this subunit are

of a slightly lower quality. i’m not that great at

editing either but i tried my best. i hope it looks

okay. i tried to recreate what i wanted them to

look like in of concept and aesthetic.

for their repackage album i chose pantomime

as the title track. i wanted to continue with the

elegant concept but with a “darker” twist if

that makes any sense. they could have a super

aesthetic and beautiful music video for this.

maybe something similar to apink’s newer

music videos? i just really love this song so so

much and wanted to give it to them. who am i

is also kinda similar with its sound and concept

so it fits perfectly. it also kinda reminds me of

naughty for some reason (might just be the

choreography) but it’s a nice link between the

two subunits. they would also definitely kill a

choreography like that. they’re great dancers.
