Retrospective & My story (2024)

Undertale Amino was a significant piece of my childhood leading up to when I turned 18. Before it, I was very sheltered and used to going through the motions of school. I did not know much about myself, what I was like, and what I cared about. I did not know how to interact with the world, how to talk and share experiences with people... Amino was a turning point for me where that started to change.
It was the first time I talked with lots of people and did things solely because I was ionate about them (writing). Amino essentially was the first place where I felt like I could really begin to self-explore and try things out. I got to know and talk to a lot of people, many of which I still . I learned more about myself and what I was like. I met people and, in the process, learned more about myself, others, and the world.
Not all of it was nice and good. I probably said and did some shitty things to the people around me, which I regret a lot. But Amino was important to me and my growth as a person, and I enjoyed my time here a lot.
Amino is also a place I associate with simpler times, times before past regrets and future anxieties. My life has not completely worked out the way I wanted it to, and I think about it a lot. I'll probably still have those thoughts as old problems are replaced with new ones; it's just how life goes as you grow up. But sometimes, on quiet nights when I am alone with my thoughts, I come back here and reminisce about old times. Times when I was still writing, times when I was chatting with my friends without a care in the world.
I try not to dwell on it, because times are different now, and I still need to move on with my life. But It's a small comfort that means a lot to me.
If we interacted even a little bit back then, I probably you and what we did together. And I am genuinely sorry if I was ever a jerk to you. It would be cool if we could catch up, but it's alright if you can't or don't want to. Either way, I hope you are doing okay. I'll still be around and visit every once in a while until the servers, or me, go down.
